If Mel Brookes got hold of this poster it would be called "Deliverance in Space";)
This one is now one of my favorites. |

And if anyone is curious as to the impetus behind doing these...it is simple. Learn your skills by analysing the work of others and trying to recreate it...hones your speed modelling skills, your photoshop knowledge but more than that, your observational skills. My own work is so much better for doing these, especially with regards to lighting and composition. I revisit these ever now and again and it is amazing how outdated they look...I will cringe when I look back at some of these in 6-12 months time.
If you get the chance, try to recreate a favourite image using TS and PS alone (although I used to sneak Bryce in too). The fact that they give people a laugh and I love movies is just a bonus...:D |

Glad you like them...the Dirty Hammy was just for you...:D
I am taking requests.... I seem to be slowing down on these...got plenty of ideas but less and less time...still I did manage to churn out 15 or so this last week so I shouldn't be greedy and the editor of 3D World is considering putting a link to them in the next issue of the mag...
Maybe it will be a 'one a week' thing from now... |

These are great and I still have Hambo to do as well as updating old ones like Saving Private Rind, Robochop, Chops (Jaws), A Chop With Orange, Hammy Trotter and Porkenstein.
Then there is the full set of Sow Wars;
1, The Gammon Menace
2. Attack of the Bones
3. Revenge of the Pig
4. A new Pork
5. The Hampire strikes Back
6. Return of the pepe
Oh dear...will it never end? |

There are plenty more and I would like to think they are getting better too.
Problem might be time though....I think the output will start slowing down now...:o |

Speaking of which, if you do get a minute please hop over to CG Society and leave a message or rate the ever growing portfolio of tS work there...could really help to raise the profile of tS. If you follow the link in my signature below you will reach my online portfolio and you should see my favourites folder with links to Daybe, Madmouse etc. |

I tried to register about two months ago, but the activation of my account did not work, so I gave up. I don't have to show off much work anyway  As I see it, not only the technical aspect, but also (or more important) the artistic aspect and originality is important for the CG-society folks, and you are doing really well. |

Cheers Graysho, progress has slowed these last few days as they were eating into my family life. I have about 20 updated images now-all at my website and I am uploading them to my CGSociety portfolio too.
Currently working on Robo Chop 2 but it does not look so good.
Perhaps this is one where the pun is better than the source material...
I will post for feedback in a while... |

Here is what I have so far. There is more body showing than I expected so I will have to work on that and I need to make it look even more cheesy 80's. |

It might look better with the helmet shaped around the snout, & maybe give him some RoboEars. I don't recall him ever looking quite so boldly blue though. I have it both on DVD & video, but the DVD is a boxed set of the trilogy [1 of those cases that's about the size of a VHS case but holds all 3 DVDs] & I'm not currently sure where the video is. I found this image, where he's more of a light mettalic blue:

or there's this 1, though it's of the soundtrack to the movie, not the movie itself, but still...

It might have given you more flexibility with your recreations if you'd made Pepe a bit more anthropomorphic, or humanoid, like Porky Pig. |

Good points-all of them Alien, but I have gone a bit too far with this now to redesign his body completely. Besides, half the fun of this is seeing this squat little fat pig imagining himself as an action hero. A bit like that little fat guy at work who insists on dressing up as Superman in tight lycra at the office party...:D
Really like those images too but pepe is more about head than anything else.
Oh my god..did I say that? What next, Pepe does Dallas? |

Yeah, I figured that would be the case, I guess my comment was more "thinking out loud" than anything else.

Yeah. :)

Hmmm - how about the wall scene [as in the images], & have his front trotters on the bottom edge of the hole in the wall?
Oh my god..did I say that? What next, Pepe does Dallas?

Not quite like your examples Alien but nice and cheesy 80's style all the same. Reminds me of those old 8 bit game covers with the 'dodgy' airbrush work...;) |
