Is there a numerical entry for setting the rotation/position/scale of the uv mapping tools in the Workspace view? Applying SDS messes w/ the UV I've set up in Modeler view so I need to reapply the correct UV after SDS has been applied, but I can't see any accurate way to do it...

Suggestions?

It involves using the LE, still interested?

expand the matrix on the uv mapper to get numeric input..

What he said.^^^:)

I think I'm getting paranoid.

Also a good way to edit current settings without starting over,
just by selecting the UV Mapper.

Thanks for that tip Stan! Wouldn't have thought it would be that simple. This would be really useful to help the architectural guys.

very simple Jack..:)

Stevebe you don't have to reselect the uv mapper via the icon or it opens a new uvmapper, just go into the object and adjust..the selectionbox widget won't show up though..if you want the widget, the expanded matrix will still be there and just needs to be hooked up again to the matrix on the new uv mapper:) you could keep many expanded matrix nodes while editing and go back to the one you liked best too..much better that the old ts model side way ;)

Hi Stan,

That's what I'm talking about, I didn't say anything about the icon.:p
Sorry, I guess my written descriptions need work.

You can also modify an expanded matrix and add scrubbers as in attached image.
The scrubbers can be constrained to set angles, eg. 22.5 degrees and saved as
an object for later use.

Thanks for the help, guys. I still miss the tS6.6-style wireframe representation of the uv mapping, and I don't understand why something so simple is so difficult, but at this point anything helps.

Will this work with a selection, so I can still set up the uv maps for separate portions of the object?

Okay, just tried this...and it's mapping the coordinates incorrectly on the wrong axis. No changes I make to the matrix values seem to alter this.

it seems like a no at the moment becaue when you click on the uv mapper the selection collapses edit mode closes and the uvmapper vanishes.
that real issue is painting faces.. you can't, there is a bug with paint face in workspace :(

.I might be able to create a scripted matrix tweaker panel that could communicate with the uv mapper if you arem't in a rush.and paimted faces in model side.;)

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, Stan, had a motorcycle accident and wasn't really feeling like being in front of a computer for a bit.

Would the script you're speaking of allow separate parts of an object to have independent uv maps? For example, the top and sides of a soda can?

sorry to hear you had a motorcycle accident Digitalsoapbox..at least you walked away from it. I lost a few friends that way..

I would have to modify my matrix script more to include face selections but its possible..I just might need help to do it properly if I can't find an example to work from
