I just finished removing a number of items in the Meeting Room area over on tpportal.caligari.com. This should make it easier and faster for folks to connect if they have not visited before. Call it housekeeping :) , but if there are few objects, then the area "loads" faster for folks. There is a cache mechanizm related to truePlay and trueSpace, where once you visit and the area loads, the next time you visit, the area will have cached most of the items and it all loads faster. If you were to visit all the areas on the server, the first time you do visit the area, it must load everything and then cache it for next time you visit. So if it seems slow to load, you know why. Patience while it loads the area for first time is best.
Any changes to an area from the last time you visited will have to be loaded, but for most part, the areas will always load pretty quick if you have visited and cached beforehand. So if you have a moment, go visit the area so it caches for you and tonight it will load fast for you. |

Once you are familiar with this and how to change the server, you will be able to tell where you are and if you are in the right area for the meeting.

Yes good point. Will be good point to add to next manual as well and hope that the scenario does not change too much to make them outdated. |

Wow, tS just froze up on me during the meeting and I had to shut it down via Task Manager. I can't seem to log back in now. Did everybody freeze up, or just me? |
