Well, just watched the Transformers movie and must say that I was not overly impressed...with the story or direction, but the robots...WOW!


Great showreel for ILM as usual and very, very impressive work but I found the story just too ridiculous especially as it was played for emotion and sentiment a lot rather than out and out tongue in cheek.


Still, if you like to watch ground breaking CGI...you can't go wrong but Ratatouille wins hands down for me in charm and story this year.

3D world had a good feature on this movie. I am very impressed with the work that has gone into the robots. I have always held little hope in the plotline of this movie being any good, but what do you expect?! the cartoons sucked but as kids we loved them, it was never about plot it was about action and selling plastic toys lol. Ratatouille just looks astonishing and I have no doubt that it will be just as good as all the other films they have made, PIXAR are the greatest CGi film makers and they poop on the competition (bah to dreamworks! lol) Shrek and all the other rubbish that Dreamworks release will never enter my dvd collection lol
