I voted "just right" as it is the least biased, I also need to see the results so... |

C'mon guys/girls, I put the polls here so you did not need to have bought them to vote. Think of it as, why you did not buy...that's what I'm trying to get down to anyway;) . |

Then you'll need more options than just three for file size. The file size might not be the issue for why people haven't bought them, it could be a number of things, subject matter, items covered, not interested, didn't know about them, etc, etc. |

First of all I'm on broadband so size does not matters, or it does...
Anyhow I must say I haven't realised how good you're and that's why I've not bothered to even check it out, yet...
I see now your very good and think that anyone getting serious should get this, this is exactly the kind of thing your looking for and should have in your arsenal of books, and this is in TS now that's awesome!
So for anyone wanting to get serious or learning the interface well no doubt just download.
Then again I do understand if the length size etc. turns people of.
But that's why they don't understand what they're missing.
If you ever want to get serious this is the kind of booring stuff you've to do and lots of practicing.
You don't get into 3D during a day, it takes years.
Nowherebrain you can count me in, just for having it in the arsenal, time is the other matter damn.
Keep up the good work!
Price, well I don't even bother for that price, I'll allways learn something right ;)
Then again I would think twice if you keep raicing it too high.
I think the important part here is to spread your word, I know you've tried but this is the first time I check it out and it all looks good.
Guess I didn't have that impression before, don't get this wrong - my mistake, but I thought you were really trying hard etc. but I've not thought to much about your stuff, I'll keep an eye on you from now on, oki ;)

A cheap way to advertise yourself, other than starting a thread in the business forum would be to have a WIP periodically. lots of people will eventually find out you have some modeling talent and eventually you will get some interest from different people.
Like Ambrose mentioned, I had no idea your had any talent at this until I checked out your TurboSquid page when you first started posting.
As for file size... anything less than 300 gigs is fine with me :)
Keep pluggin, it's just a matter of letting people know you are here and you have something of interest.

Not sure if you've ever started a small business before this one or not, but business startups are typically slow at first anyway. Persistent advertising and self-promotion are vital in order to keep your product in the front of your potential customers' minds.
Personally, I have checked out your website and do plan to buy these when I have some free cash and free time to get it done.

Wow, bunch of comments...I can't answer them all at this moment I am short on time..but first thanks for the comments.
About the poll, this is the first of many. I don't want to ask the community to wade through poll after poll. I will do one every two weeks for awhile.
As for pricing, it will never go up, only down whenever possible. The people that charge $40.00 for a tutorial should burn. The tutorials on turbo squid were not even as good as these are IMO.
New business, yeah definately slow. I will continually keep plugging away though..I actually use the SMC as a sort of advertising. I'm not trying to win(maybe I should) I'm trying to get the freebies out and advertise a bit.
more comments, please, they are always welcome...give me the nasty stuff. |

Believe it or not I've been posting(not much)since the old, old forums. this is the third iteration of forums that I know of. I just never posted as much, 'cause I was in the ARMY and did not always have access to a computer. I was also around the tS4um a bit..ahh those were the days(I was the noobie I guess). I was using Lightwave a lot more then. Now I may use it once a year....maybe. |

Keep going at it brain, you are good at what you do - and its helped me quite a bit so far, although I never seem to get the time to do any 3D at the moment.. Otherwise you would be hearing a lot more from me! :-) |

Nowherebrain !
Nice little videos you are making.
Like them very much. The people at caligari should be looking into
them. First because "the interface tut" show that one has to customise
the interface to a more common setup like you did!
The standard setup we get is for the ....
Second you run into some of the problems I run into some of the time
and that must be ironed out (you should not have to jump to silo
to get a small gap fixed).
One word to you ...it sows up that to get some reference of
what you want to model isnt bad.... so it shouldnt be wrong to get
a picture of a horse and a picture of a chess piece(horse)
before you start to model. It does cut down model time !
Otherwise very well made and a pleasure to watch ! |

Thanks, the Knight was a little frustrating....I think I had the upgrade for a day or so...I'd never...ever attempted a horse before. It is probably difficult to sit through the ear portion:p . A (just under) 2 hour vid, in general, must be difficult to watch(I watch it in time lapse with VLC media player). That was quite obviously a one shot, but also a testament to trueSpace 7.5 in a way. Thanks for watching, and your response. |
