Hi folks. I contacted Sir Oliver Rohe to see if he still had his Ultimate Rig for Crazy Bob. He sent it to me and said I could share it; so here it is.
A heartfelt thanks goes out to Oliver for this. Much Appreciated! Danke Schun! |

Good going frootee. The rig is cool, but I feel the rig I altered is more complete. It is attached to this post. Try it out. |

This is another example of the "Group Effort" this Forum fosters. You share and others benefit. You can't put a price on that!:)
Thanks! |

Here is an update to the 3dfrog modified crazy bob rig. I removed the additional torso and pelvis controls. This seems to stop the stretching for the meantime. Will add them back after stretching is fixed. I also fixed up the arm joint limits. |

That book is like the Animator's Bible! I knew one of his employees when he was working on "Raggedy Ann and Andy" and animated English TV commercials in Richard William's Studio. My friend almost bought his Studio when he closed it. He is really a brilliant Animator who has had some tough breaks. |

yay! I'm so happy you got the book. It's such a good book I get excited when someone gets it. Does that make me a geek? maybe :)
No problem mr bones, I hope my little modifications make it better. |

Yeah, it is amazing how our animations can be improved by understanding and implementing the methods demonstrated in the ASK, things like anticipation, follow through, etc.
I'm glad I finally got it. I was hoping I could get it cheaper but I just said what the hey; I'll go for it! I ended up paying $21; not too bad. I saw it elsewhere online for $18, but didn't want to wait any longer. |

just got this book myself.. Wow, what an eye opener! Why don't they force you to read stuff like this in school?!
The section on walk cycles is worth the price alone. |

Funny you should mention it - I had been thinking of ordering that over the net after coming across various references to it when I saw it on the shelf of a bookshop here in Adelaide a few weeks ago and snapped it up - what a gem! Can't praise it enough. Its simple, if you want to character animate you need this book regardless of whether you are a drawer, stop-motionist or 3d modeler. |
