Well if your under a mushroom you don't know about tonight! This one will be big. First there is a new truePlace gathering hole being premiered. Second Roman is giving us a "Live" Captains Blog, Third Prodigy (and someone else not yet determined) is modeling headphones in the Speed Modeling Demo. If you have never gone before this sounds like a Special Evening. Rub elbows with the Brass, share ideas with fellow trueSpacians (it just sounded right:rolleyes: ), learn techniques from the Pros, find out I'm even more boring in person! What's not to Luvv?

What do you need when you come? Standard Thursday Night Equipment List:

1) Desire and Interest

2) TS or truePlay

3) Cheetos

See you there,

Don't forget you'll have 10 minutes - still not enough to make a complete headset, but much better than 5 :)

Looking forward to seeing Prodigy at work, should be quite the thing to watch.

We'll see you there!

Thanks!

Tom

A bit sad for us that go by central european time is that this meeting takes place 02.00 in CET. And since tomorrow is Friday, and thus work, it isn't really possible to join.

Are these meetings always at the same time? Or could we perhaps have a Friday or Saturday meeting when you don't need to go up just 5 hours after the meeting starts?

I know in the past Norm said he would set up something for those in other time zones. Maybe not enough people responded?...

I agree that would be a tough one with only 5 hours sleep. Now in my younger years that would be normal...:)

Well, 5 hours sleep would imply that I would need to go to bed when the meeting starts. ;)

My employer has this strange idea that I should do work at work and not sleep so I guess I have to pass.

Hoping for something in other timezones at a later date. :D

Great work on the headphones Augusto! They look great even though you kept getting kicked out. Very impressive what you were able to accomplish in such a short time. :)

lol. I don't know if I'd do such a fine job as this. You're right, if Roman thinks I turned him into a scary ventriliquist dummy he may revoke my leg privileges on the forum :p JK It seems Roman has a great sense of humor.

Right... we all saw you froggy;)

Yes... Roman does have a great sense of humor, he had me laughing hard a few times last night for sure (the guillotine, the upgrades, the Land Rush, etc.), and I'm really glad for that because we sure pushed the envelope last night! Hahaha!

It was most excellent gathering last night. Emmanuel's scene was great and everyone seemed to enjoy the space. We all got some great pics of the event and based on last night's attendance and the ongoing chat, it should continue being a hot event.

Congrats to the modeling contestants. It was great fun watching the modeling competition. I look forward to seeing more of this type of contest happening. There is a trophy case so hopefully we can come up with a trophy based scenario for winners.

It was a blast folks, thanks for making it possible Roman :)

Here is one of the pics I took last night: Shows Roman doing his inaugural "live" Captain's Blog. You can see the live camera in front of Roman with the "feed" showing up on the screen in background.

The room we were in was totally cool too. Kinda looked like a techie bar. :)

You're definitely right Norm, Emmanuel's new scene is awesome there. Making a truePlay / truePlaces scene intended for massive invasion by the Global Cone Network and keeping it all low poly while still looking outstanding in terms of style is a truly high art, and Emmanuel is a Master of it.

We just need to give him more wild and fun new interactive scripts to play with in these places now.:D

Everybody did a great job on it all, and at least Roman doesn't need to worry about anybody quoting any promises from his live Captains Blog!!!:D

The Camera and Big Screen idea was SUPERB too!

Next week though, I just wanna hang out afterward and hear some more of Roman's anecdotes... that "Land Rush" comment made me laugh so hard I almost fell out of my chair!!!

Great people, Great time.

Thanks

Highlights? Hahahaha!!!

That's what I meant about nobody quoting Roman... none of us could hear what he was saying half the time because of all the distortion!

I was there, heard all of it, and can't remember a single sentence, so you didn't really miss anything!

I think either his mike was bad or maybe there were too many mikes on in the audience, but whatever it was, trust me, you didn't miss any more than the rest of us did!

Fun time though... very fun!

The things that were being typed by everyone at a blindingly fast pace had me in stitches... very very funny stuff!

Roman's Mic is the cause( could also be his settings) Norm's mic works fine. Also no one complained about my mic also. This happened last time we all got together and it was the same story. Someone else also had their speakers on even after being told not to .

I could not understand one word Roman said. It was completely garbled. So I hope what he had said is posted in the Captain's Blog at this Forum.

Lets take a collection to buy him a Mic and call it "Mic Upgrade 7.6":D

Yeah it was difficult to hear for sure. Some parts of his opening address were clear as a bell for a minute but it kept dropping to garble. Lots of folks were popping in at the time too though, so maybe that had an effect as well.

I think you're right about the speakers being on too, seems to me I heard a bit of music at one point after folks were asked to kill their speakers, not completely sure though.

Hey, Roman just posted a new Captains Blog entry about it too. I see he quoted the "great sense of humor" from your thread here too!

It was a lot of fun. We sure do need the audio issues fixed though, but he's obviously on it and wants that even more than we do!

These meetings are a lot of fun for sure.
