For those who want fast global illumination with Lightworks and still don't know about this shader, I want to bumb this up so you have a chance to check this (http://forums.caligari.com/discus/messages/1585/20377.html) thread from the old forum out.
You can find the free shader here (http://digivision.com.tw/truespace/tutorial/Contribute/Doc79/index.htm). Download the one for trueSpace 6.0 if you have 6.0 or higher. |

It is an excellent shader and I got great results from it but I certainly wouldn't say it was fast.
Word of warning for anyone using it - disable multithreading (from the render toolbar). If you have multithreading enabled you will get a lot of artifacts. |

Any chance you could show a simple scene/set-up to give us an idea on how best to use this shader in terms of effective settings, what kind of lighting should be used with it, etc to get reasonable results. The webpage obviously isn't much help unless you read that particulalr language...
Thanks |

I confirm it is slow. Almost unusable in big scenes.
Today, I use the Lightworks global illumination (HDRI feature in tS7.5) and I am very happy with it : fast & clean result, it is the best choice. |

Nez - check the old forums (CaliArchive), I remember Buzz did a lot of work with the shader and shared many examples. Search for his posts and you should find wht you're looking for. |

Yes.
There is a direct link to Caligari forum thread in my first post here.
And me calling the shader fast was a play on the shader name :) |

The first thing I used to do is use a multi layered material, with the GI shader on the bottom of the "stack", this way you could use other shaders over it....a bit slow, but usefull if you do not want to do a light setup and have no GI tools. |

Put it in the X:\tS\Shaders\Material folder. |
