Just been looking at the new features of Carrara 6 Pro



and I am wondering whether it isn't a better buy than Truespace 7.5 - it has alot more features that I personally have been looking for in Truespace but have not seen yet - it has it's misses as well, what do you guys think?


some features:

FBX support

Ocean primitive

Vegetation (ecosystem)


among others -

I don't really like Carrara, mainly because of the rooms thing, but the new hair looks great. It's the only feature I've seen in Carrara 6 that Caligari should have a look at imo. I think if you already own it and like it the upgrade is decent, and at least Carrara is still alive.

These debates never end well btw.

I just buy are in offer to 14 of september if I renember whell by 240$ versus the more of 500$

The animation is can't be compared with truespace the physics system is basic compared with truespace

but the particles are much better (water are incredible), the renderer have a great speed and quality, the room desing are a great think more easy for make models, only playing with him a few of hours, and not see togheter appear not have all the think hims promises before but is enought

Have fbx exporter, and .con importer I not check is work whell, need less recurses to work that truespace and are 100% stable by the moment

I more easy to work for me than truespace
When I explore more inside I can tell some more
