Hi all,
We have another Thursday Night Live! coming up this Thursday, at 5pm PST! Note that after this we will be moving to a two week schedule, so be sure to attend this one as there won't be another TNL! until September 20th!
This week we have the speed model challenge of modeling a computer mouse in 15 minutes. We invite anyone to take part in that, its a lot of fun! Please email me at thomas@caligari.com if you want to be one of our speed modelers!
We also invite anyone to put on a presentation of any topic or subject related to 3D and trueSpace. Got a neat modeling tip to show us? An idea for the future of 3D? A cool project you are working on just now? Then share it with the community live at the meeting! Again just mail me at thomas@caligari.com and let me know you want to take part!
Remember, we are moving to meetings every two weeks now (to make room for all the other community events and contests that are taking place) so be sure not to miss out on this meeting.
We'll see you there!

Going to be keeping this one up top for those who don't visit the forums so often, since this will be our last meeting for two weeks now (as the community has so many events running all by themselves and we don't want to stretch you all thin!).
Do please contact me if you are interested in speed modeling or giving a short presentation. And if not interested in doing either, do come along for the evening all the same to watch others!
Thanks!

Hi Prodigy!
I (jfield) made some adjustments to your cellphone. You didn't come back :(
I wanted you to see if I did good! lol
P.S. Appreciate you taking the time to show a tS newbie some tricks! :D . (and don't worry, your secret is safe with me. You know what they say: "What happens in the 'Meeting Room', stays in the meeting room" :o )

Yes another interesting evening. Lots of fun to watch the modeling contest. It was a real tight race last night ... is all I can say :)
But now we have to wait two weeks for next one :( |

I had a blast at this last meeting, really a fun time and very informative!
The modeling competition was so good I couldn't decide on a winner at all, in fact I never did! LOL They were both really great models made very very fast!
TomG asked me to do an impromptu presentation of that "3DVD Kiosk" I had presented last Tuesday night at the "Scripting Live!" meeting, and in spite of me fumbling through that quite a bit it seems it was a relatively popular item. Roman appears to like it and asked if he could have Vladimir modify it some for us all to use it in truePlaces, which I think is a great idea! It has many possible uses already and is a very versatile tool for us all to use. (If anyone wants to have it it's available for download here in last Tuesday's script meeting thread, feel free to use it and modify it all you like.)
Prodigy brought in some pictures of an absolutely awesome and fully articulated Android model he has made, he plans to animate this too and I can't wait to see how that will be! This is a truly incredible model, and the Vray render of it which he showed us all there was truly professional magazine-quality work... very impressive all around.
The really informative part of this meeting was missed by most folks it seems, lots of folks left kind of early but Greenthunder and I watched (and Roman popped in too at one point;) ) as Prodigy taught us some fantastic modeling and workflow tips... so good they're a secret in fact! (but like Greenthunder said: "What happens in the 'Meeting Room', stays in the meeting room," so Prodigy's secret stays a secret, and thanks for sharing it with us Prodigy!:D
Great night, great people, great fun.
Thanks to all who were a part of it.
