Ok guys, thanks to Hemulin I now have the software necessary to run the subscription service properly so I will be going live shortly.
The site is about 70% complete now for launch and I am slowly sprucing up each book/image/location etc. on a daily basis.
When the site launches it will only be about 50% of the full content but I will add new stuff each week and hopefully a full book each month or so.
I have had great feedback from the few people who have visited the site but I would now like to invite anyone who is interested to view the full site.
Visit www.buddyworld.co.uk or www.buddyworldbooks.com
When you get to the main gate you can enter using the following details:
user: buddy
pass: pepe1234
You now have full access to the site for as long as it takes me to complete the first stage and implement the software. After that it will be by subscription only.
All I ask in return is constructive feedback if you can spare the time. I am particularly interested in seeing what children make of it.
There are many other things to add: activities, colouring in sheets, games, quizzes etc. but this is just the start.
So, feel free to dive in and have a good poke around...you have talked about a commercial for tS...well, this is one big advert for tS...:D |

Did a quick run through and only found two page 404's.

(result of clicking on image once arrived at the page)
Very nice presentations and the graphics is grand!
The book pages are really cool. I can see myself reading them to my grandchildren. :) |

Aah, those (and a few others) would comprise the other 30% I need to do...;)
Nice spot though James...I need plenty of eagle eyed viewers. |

Other things to do (in case you wondered where the missing stuff is):
1. Chonkyponk needs password protecting to stop kids reading it alone.
2. DSD needs more art as well as concept stuff and a story synopsis.
3. Iceworld needs an update as well as characters and locaions (maybe today).
4. Creepy Castle story needs updating and re-rendering.
5. Limbo needs some sample art.
6. Secret Island needs a link to the rocket pad (which is the same one from DSD..aah...)
7. Buddy Town and Village need making.
8. Bob and Blob artwork needs adding to Buddy Town. DSD lives there too, while Harold lives in the village
9. Planet Hoppers pages need updating.
10. Jungle Woods needs art/crafts activities
11. Barn Buddies need activities and games
12. Sandcastle Beach needs the lighthouse updating (I did characters last night)
All the above need interactive activities but I am busy making the static content for now.
I hope to launch with one book in each range (4 in Barn Buddies) and then add extra content regularly.
Please do visit, remember it is free for the moment...:jumpy: |

Wow Splinters. Lot of content and a LOT of work! ;)
There should be a ton of merchandising opportunities out of this. Have you looked into partnering with any toy companies yet? |

That is the spirit Dennis, I will need plenty of word of mouth advertising (the best free kind!) if I am going to get this off the ground.
Yup, Jack...a lot of stuff there and a lot to do. I am looking forward to actually making some new books. All my time is being spent on the artwork for now.
I have no idea when I will find time for the interactive stuff...:o
Mmmm, toy companies. Any ones in mind? |

They do look interesting Jack. I guess though that I should look down the licensing route; those guys seem to be development for the larger companies. |
