Well, my experience with product launches not a million miles away from this forum tells me not to do it late at night, so I'm holding off until the morning. You can have a look around though:

Back to plum-uh, 3Delight. The odd "slip through the cracks" aside, the 3Delight guys are pretty good about getting licenses sorted quickly. The process is largely automated, and I don't think they are hyper-strict about people re-registering (they just don't want high-end commercial users flouting the licensing, obviously) so you could try and see. I do know they are re-evaluating their licensing scheme in light of competitor changes (Pixar dropped their prices) and the introduction of quad-core machines. Anyone have a quad to test on?
Anyway, gnite, I need my rest. Big day tomorrow :) |

Well, it's up.
How's that for anti-climactic? :P Properly-worded announcement and stuff coming soon.
Anyway, remember the SORRYITSLATE code I mentioned? Enter it on the cart page if you want to take a discount. I'm not twisting your arm ;) I figure seeing as it's been about 14 days after I originally planned on releasing dribble, this is an appropriate percentage.. and it's only going to last 14 days!
So.. the real eager beavers who want to snap it up right away - please be forgiving! It's been a long time since I did a product release myself so I'm sure there'll be a few rough spots, but rest assured I'll get to any issues as quickly as I can (email support@coolpowers.com for fastest response - I'm working on setting up a forum but I'll check here tonight too) |

Looks very cool Simon! :D  Congratulations on the launch. :)
At that price, who can afford not to have it. I'm still broke from my recent UVLayout purchase, but as soon as I catch back up I'll definitely get a copy of Dribble. :)
I'm curious, can it currently perform or do you plan to add the ability for texture baking? This is a big feature missing from trueSpace IMO. If we could bake good soft shadows into our textures, we could make much more impressive real-time scenes.
Thanks |

Thank you Simon, and CONGRATS!
I had no problem with PayPal other than updating some rather old info. The download link came right up and even on dialup I managed to do it all in one evening! WOOHOO!
I'll play around with it tomorrow and see how it goes

Wouldn't you just know it? I release this thing then I get called away all night. Just stopping in to say thanks to those who have already signed up for some RenderMania!
I've not had any reports of download trouble so I take it this service is working correctly? I know it took a while for some people to get the download links - that was on my end, sorry. I've changed some settings so nobody should see a delay between purchase and download now.
Getting this released has done me a world of good, I can't wait to get back to work tomorrow to make the proper announcement and get started on some additions.
I look forward to seeing some renders! |

Well this is.. embarrassing. I managed to release the wrong version.
Everyone, please re-download the installer. The link in your email should still apply. Install right over the top, no need to uninstall.
Keeping the version number at 1.0 because this is the real 1.0
(I'll post this in the other thread just so everyone sees it) |
