Sure if you wanna wait till next week! (Kind of short notice since the meeting is in 23 minutes! LOL)
On the other hand, feel free to bring your own Virtual Musician if you like in the meantime! Maybe we can get an orchestra going at last!:D

Thanks

That would be great!
We've asked about that many times, I hope someone can somehow.
This last one ended five hours after it started though, kind of a long recording. Many things happen at these meetings, almost impossible to cover all of it. Would be nice though, I agree.

LOL!!!!
Now I know what it feels like to be Popeye!:D
That was fun... lets find some new victims next week too!:D
We should have a realtime avatar mod competition when this really gets rolling!:D
What a fun night this was!
Many new people there too... more than I've ever seen there on one night, guess the word is getting out on just how wild we tend to get in there sometimes! LOL
Thanks, that was a blast!

:jumpy:Haha,
That was grand! Lot of people there - sorry I fell out after about 2.5 hours.. but I'd been up since 5am my time ... next time I'll plan ahead! ... was a great evening evening, even if I did spend a lot of it going full "tilt"... :D
The speed model competition was great to watch! ... and ... oops, sorry I broke your toy 3dv dude :o .....good thing you've got 'backup musicians'!
The song is fun - hope you put it in there somewhere for folks to stumble on  thanks Prodigy! Norm, you just had to wait 'til I left, eh ? (or.. was that before I even got there? ) ... it was actually very cool that so many did have voice at various times.
Great meeting, everybody was a pleasure to meet so many of you!

Eek, I was supposed to be speed modelling with Prodigy wasn't I? I was away and didn't get back until the early hours of this morning so missed it. Who did the speed challenge (the topic was 'trophy') and what was the results? |

Sorry I missed some of you. I went to bed 2 hours into it at 10 pm. I am an old man, I'll need a nap before these things to stay up. I am missing all the fun.
www, they did a wheelbarrow competition between dele and Tom. Tom won. Tom tricked us all saying we would laugh at him then he made a kick butt wheelbarrow. Sneaky Tom. Next competition will be trophy so you can still do it, I dont think there are challengers yet unless they picked them after I left. |

LOL!!!
I was laughing very hard at all the navigational antics you were going through because I went through the very same thing when I was new at this and there's just nothing to do but learn it the hard way!!! It was funny though, and the more you play with the scene view widget the more likely it is you'll find yourself in similarly disoriented situations... just part of the game!
As you start to use FPN more and walk around your scenes you'll find it harder to wind up in awkward angles and places, and if you limit the view widget navigation mostly to left-right and (right mouse button) up-down movements you'l have the hang of it all in no time!
Yeah the Speedmodelers were both great, that was fun!
You also missed Augusto building a Robot body for Norm's Scripted Robotic Arm too! That was fun... and then trueBlue giving my avatar a "virtual makeover!" (I think we should start an Avatar Salon now!:D )
Great night... tons of laughs, and we all need that for sure!:p
Glad you made it,

Witchy!!!
We looked all over for you!!!
Norm and I were afraid something may have happened to you - we're so accustomed to you showing up there now to spice up our nights with that humour that only you can bring to a truePlace!!!:D
We missed you, seriously... hope you can make it next time... and who knows... maybe you can join the rest of us victim-volunteers in the next Avatar Virtual Makeover Salon event!:D
Glad you're ok and hope to see you then!

Hah! "old man?" I'm 51 and never felt younger than I do in those places!!! Just way too much fun for this old man to miss!
Yeah, Tom did sneak that one in on Dele didn't he? Come to think of it.... wasn't it Tom that suggested a wheelbarrow in the first place? Maybe he was on version 367 when he made that suggestion? Hmmmm... food for thought!
Actually Dele did a great job on his too, much better than I possibly could have in that little time, I'm just way too slow when it comes to modeling to even think about competing at all! It was a lot of fun to watch, and these guys are great sports for doing this stuff, you too 3dfrog... I think I've seen you model more times in there than anyone now yourself!
I can't wait 'till we start getting that Triggered 3D Scripted Animation thing handled, then we can load some of your articulated beings in there and watch them battle it out live!:D Soon.... we're on it!;)

Thing is that I always seem to have something else going on at the time. Even watching a video of the event would be better than missing it. :-( |

Perhaps over time that might be possible, but for now I believe the idea is for folks to experience 3DSpace for themselves and begin to see the potential. It is hard to capture the essence of collaboration unless you experience it firsthand.
heh, five solid hours is not a small avi, but a telethon by the time you add the allowed commercial segments :) |

Yes, it was fun again guys. :) Tom was certainly being modest when he said that we would laugh at his model. He done wooped me. :)
Witchy showed up at the script meeting and missed the regular meeting this week. Hey, is that a pair of glasses she is wearing? :p |

Just so everyone is on same page, this link takes you to a Monty Python short, which melody I was using in my attempt at singing :)

No one heard of this before so I figured I would point you to it.

Monty Python and I went to school together.:p

Gotta love the Python!
Nice rendition too!:D

The point is that I have far more important priorities than being online for a few hours at a time.
You know, life, family friends, commitments. You do remember commitments?
Some of aren't 12 years old any more and a glorified online chat just is not a major priority. Hell, it's not even a minor priority.
Whatever, no big loss, I'll just continue ignoring it. |

Yes, I did pop into the Tuesday meeting - briefly! I wanted to see what went on and if it would be as 'nerdy' as I imagined! :) Didn't understand a word, it was like walking into an advanced lesson for a foreign language you'd never heard of, let alone spoke the basics! Oh well, at least I tried! :)
Being an English eccentric, I love Monty Python!! The Knights That Say Ni - love it!! Bring me a... shwubbewy!
Anyone get any pics of the wheelbarrows?
See y'all in two Thursdays time.... |

Hi Improv,
While you might like to keep track of what's going on here, at the same time it's totally understandable that your family and personal life take first place. ^_^
People's lives are all different, and throughout life, priorities change too .. some people here have special related projects in mind, others particularly value the camaraderie of people who share their interests.
I'm sure your participation in this community is very much appreciated, at whatever level you decide is appropriate to you. I'm just a newcomer, but I can say this because I see that people are much appreciated here - an attitude that surely makes me happy :)
Hopefully the folks with the necessary skills will quickly work out good ways to share all the important highlights (and some of the fun!) with all those who have other more pressing commitments, so that we can all keep up with developments of this new and very interesting communication tool. the thread is a good start but maybe can be supplemented too ;)
Meanwhile, happy modeling to you! (I know you've got the rest covered) ^_^ |

Thanks-that's why a recorded session easily available 24/7 would be better than missing it entirely. I know for a fact that others are in the same position. While I have no interest in hours of slogging through that slower than sluggish convoluted interface, (and that's on an Athlon X2 4200+ with 2GB and a Radeon 1650 512Mb graphics card) ; fast forwarding a recording could be useful.
Cheers
