Nice frame Frank, any chance of posting the animation or is it too big?

Really itching to play with Dribble lately but can't find the time...:(

That looks pretty fantastic. I've said before that RenderMan renderers can do really nice motion blur, and this is good proof.

It's actually another case where there's a lot of low-level flexibility, but exposing it would require a lot of work for probably only a few people using it. Still, now that there's RIB output (and this will be expanded later) anyone who wants to do some background reading can experiment.

I agree, that image looks great. I'd like to see an animated version of that.:)

Thanks!

I have an uncompressed AVI but no software here at the office to convert to WMA/MPG, etc. Do you guys know of some free converter? I'd be happy to upload this.

I've definitely heard of VirtuaDub, but didn't know it could write to WMA or MPEG. (?) Thought it was a basic AVI tool.

I could always compress to DivX AVI, but WMA and MPG (also MOV) seem to be viewable by more people.

Thanks, guys. I'll look into Super and VirtuaDub more...

Check this virtual dub mod for mpeg, not sure about wmv.

edit: sorry, that only reads mpg, though it might be interesting anyway

Here's an online tool that will convert and recompress:

http://www.media-convert.com/

Or if you don't mind a command line converter, you cold try ffmpeg. Here's a link to how to use it and ffmpeg itself. Really easy and nice results.

http://worldtv.com/blog/guides_tutorials/flv_converter.php

and the documentation:

http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/ffmpeg-doc.html#SEC5

It will convert just about anything.
