Sorry to hear this Andy. For the short time you've been with us you have been a fun, pleasant and enthusiastic guy to have around.

All the best with your 3D work.

I'm curious though... What do you find you need to use 3ds for that TS can't do??

Sounds like TS7.6 might have had some of that coming....but

It was nice having you here, you helped make this forum enjoyable.I hope you drop in often and in the future explore the things that make TS fun to use.

yeah i also said about the newer versions having some of these things but he said we can't just keep waiting for it to come out and then it might not have some stuff so were going back to 3ds.... suppose its not a big change but i will miss having a forum for the programme :(

Sorry to hear you are leaving us, it was fun having you around. Succes with your work and drop by on the forum once in a while, who knows whether the new developments in TS may persuade you after all.

Cheers

Georg

Hey Classic

You can still mess around in truespace. I use max too for some paying jobs, but ts is my app of choice for my own stuff, I use ts much more. And with ts 7.6 face morphs you may find what you need. Don't be a stranger. We like having you here.

Andy,

It's a sad day when someone leaves the flock. You will be missed. But as Splinters says...it's not really goodbye, it's just see you later. I hope things work out great for you either way.

see ya Andy.

It´s not a wonder that some guys leave the Truespace family.

My first choice modeling application is now silo 2 but in time i need TS for the rendering.

Welcome back!

I've ran into a couple of max forums that are like you describe.

There is really no point in posting there since you'll get no usable critique or fresh perspectives. Here you can learn.

Welcome back. :)

The forums where the reason I decided to go with TrueSpace even though considering the cumulative amount I've paid for proTeam over the years I could've gotten 3dsMax or XSI Professional... lol.

Sure, we'd be happy to help you out Classic12. Just remember to post some TS work from time to time as well. Or to do parts of your project in TS. ;)

Also there is this post by Jennylin:

http://forums1.caligari.com/truespace/showthread.php?t=4269

I think it's mainly related to shared space meetings but we're going to need to be friendly to other 3D software users here in the forums to get them participating and welcome in the shared space activities as well I think.

Maybe a section could be added to the forums for other software packages. Because I know we have trueSpace users that use Silo and Zbrush. There's a few of us using Headus now. Some more using MOI. And from what Roman has said in the Captains blog about file import/export and considering the robustness of the Collada exporter, I think TrueSpace will continue to improve in its ability to play nice with other apps.
