I'd check in with tech support on that one. My first question would be whether DirectX is installed on the machine - but do email tech support and they'll help you make sure the trial is up and running.
Thanks!

Stephen actually won tS7.5, as he was not an existing tS7.5 owner. His notification will have gone to him via email, and hopefully we'll see a few words from him here (and maybe some WIP images from his new copy of tS7.5 once he gets some time to get familiar with it!)
Thanks!

Congrats Stephen! I knew I wouldn't make it, came in late and all and reading messages in the forums about the surge of new members, but hopefully you won't shoo away an old fuddy duddy programmer and only part time hobiest for non-realtime image rendering. One of these days I'll get more serious about the non-realtime stuff. |

jjustinb,
Several of my goodest friends are old fuddy duddy programmers :) Of course you are welcome!
Personally, I'm all for non-realtime renderings. No offense to the realtime gang, it's just more my style. But let me also say that some of the images the realtime stuff folks come up with drops my jaw. So just cause I don't do it, doesn't mean I don't appreciate it.
Welcome to trueSpace! |

I agree, we can always use more fuddy duddy programers in the scripting community. :)
So Stephen Cox won. That's the UVmapper Stephen right? Great program. Congratulations Stephen! :D  |

Everyone is cool here, except Splinters - he makes strange pig sounds while he dreaming up another movie parody with his oinkers. :D |

HEY New Forum Members!!
I think since we have so many brand new Forum Members here all at once and some of you may be interested in trying out truePlay or the "enter shared space" feature of trueSpace for the first time, it would be nice if when you did you ran into a few folks online in truePlaces who are there to give you a helping hand as you get used to it all.
So starting right now at 12:30PM PST Saturday afternoon, I'm going to spend a great deal more time in truePlaces this weekend than normal and encourage others here to do the same this whole weekend.
I'll be mostly in and sometimes briefly out of truePlaces all day and night Saturday and most of the day and night Sunday as well.
So if you've been thinking about trying out the whole "shared space" experience or visiting "truePlaces" for the first time yourself, look around for a crazy old coot in there named "MarkO," he'll be there to help.:)

Here's a link with more information about the free truePlay program and the free multi-user truePlaces available online 24/7 for you to explore alone or with friends, and your friends or family members don't even have to be Caligari Customers to also download and use truePlay themselves to visit truePlaces and meet you there!
It's all free and a lot of fun. You will be able to meet people from all over the world there and text chat or voice chat live with them too. There are several Galleries to explore, many interconnected scenes of different types to explore, scripted objects there which enable you to share your own images with others there, etcetera.
So why wait? Go for it, we hope to see you all there soon.:)

I had to step into tpportal 1212 with jane to help her with her audio.
When I just returned you are right, just Norm and I here now.
3dfrog was there earlier for quite a while before I went to tp1212 to help jane but was gone when I returned.
I'll be there in tp1111 Meetingroom for quite a while, I'm there now. I had to step out with jane to solve audio problems in other portal because Norm had a timer running in Meetingroom which gave jane a large lag.
Drop by, if you have a chance I'm here again.:)

7:53PM PST Sunday Nov 4th
Well, I started at around 11AM PST today and have been in shared space now for about 9 hours straight... still there in fact.
Norm has been doing some very creative and cool stuff with scripting and I have been examining it every step of the way for hours. Nice stuff 4 sure.
3dfrog gave me a way nice inspiration today to create a few hundred new funny Avatar options for us all to use one day soon (thanx for that Dennis;)) and I got an opportunity to swap old images back and forth with him in the shared space image viewer and had a great time doing that.
Jane got her audio issues all worked out with me for both truePlay and trueSpace, so you will all have an opportunity to hear her very nice Aussie accent next time you meet her in shared space too, which I hear will be Tuesday night at the next Script Developers Meeting.:)
So maybe next weekend if a few more of us show up like this who knows... it may just get to be a really nice habit.
@ New Forum Members: You really should try this, it's a lot of fun and free.
- till next Tuesday,
