Hi All -

Thanks so much for the warm welcome, and yes - I consider myself extremely lucky! A big thank you to Caligari and the forum staff for everything.

As for being "an old fuddy duddy programmer" I'm afraid that I fall into that category as well. As Délé mentioned, I am the Stephen Cox who wrote UVMapper. I guess I have to get on the stick and add native support for the trueSpace file formats now ;)

I'm really excited about getting to know the lastest version of the program. I'm still running version 5 here so this will be a huge step up for me.

All the best,

Steve

Welcome aboard Steve!

Wow.... there is such a VAST difference in capabilities between trueSpace5 and trueSpace7.51... you are going to be getting familiar with an utterly different program now!:)

Aside from the obvious improvement in the nature and scope of the modeling and rendering toolsets in tS7.51 there is also that thing you may have seen a few of us here raving about called "shared space," and that by itself sets Caligari light years ahead of the so called "Industry Leaders" in 3D!

So once you start to get comfortable with all the new toolsets be sure to stop in to one of our online meetings (held weekly, even tonight in fact!) which you will now be able to join us in right from within trueSpace7.51, where you can model live with others or demonstrate your modeling and your UVMapper for that matter live to others in immersive multi-user realtime 3d environments already made available to you 24/7 and Globally for trueSpace7.51 users and even Non-Caligari Customers (via the free "truePlay" program) to meet and share their visions together.

It will be great having a UVMapping Pioneer onboard too, we're all very happy you won and look forward to sharing with you!:)

Thanks Jack, for the tutorial references. I just purchased TS7.5 and I too am needing to get up to speed on this new UI.
