Hi folks.
The Haunted House is over in the Scriptorium for Halloween. So maybe some folks can get together and have some fun over there! Haunted Houses are always much more fun when you go with a friend!
You can get there from the Meeting Room. Click on Tom Hanks on the board that says, 'Click Here For Scriptorium'.
Tip:
When you get there, go Inside the house first, while Not in FPN. You will know you are at the right spot when you see the axes a long way in front of you.
Make sure your audio is on. Crank it up!
Then Activate FPN, and step on the trigger. Step on the other triggers as well; you'll be in for a treat!
Happy Halloween!

Frootee, excellent work on this. I enjoyed learning about it last night in the live Tuesday night meetings.

Yes A Very Public Thank You Jayr! That is a truly a Great Hall!
Yeah the sound effects are cool 3dfrog! And it's really easy with these triggers to add sound effects, and other effects too! The triggers are the coolest item introduced with 7.x in my book!

I did have the same problem earlier this morning.
I did not try the Meeting Room; but I was able to get into the Scriptorium for awhile, then I could not. |

This happens occasionally... the server gets maintenance or has a glitch once in a while. Such things are normally resolved within an hour.
That Great Hall was a blast Jayr, everybody loved it.:)

Well hey guy... lets get some more of your models and build us a portal scene to explore online together for a while like I do with mine at the Tuesday Night Script Developers Meetings.
The more the merrier.:)

hm... good question. i don't know if that is possible or not, since an ambient light is used to basically 'fill' the entire scene with a constant light level. But I could be wrong... |

cool I'll have to take a look when I get home.
Omni lights should have a check box in the lights panel.
I have not tried this with workspace yet; you may be able to access the lights shadows options in the stack (the right side of the screen that has the tabs: Panels / Libraries / Settings). Or the Link Editor.
I forgot how to do it on the model side...
I think you right click the light, and it's one of the options tabs where there is a checkbox for enabling raycast or raytraced shadows. |
