Hi All

Almost time for another animators club meeting, this saturday at noon pst, 3 pm est, 8 pm uk time. It will be held in the scriptorium shared space. Please follow the link on the official caligari page for the club:

http://www.caligari.com/AnimatorsClub.asp

This week will be a very light informal meeting due to the holiday, as many people are traveling and have plans for the weekend. So the topic is cycles. Any cycle you want to try. walk, run, swim, skip. Attached is the stickman figure set up for fk animation for you to use. You use him by selecting groups of bjects and rotating, the pivots are all set up to rotate correctly. The easiest way to select groups is to turn bridge on, open scene editor in model, then switch to workspace with scene editor still open and then you can select by groups in the scene editor.

You can use any non boned model to drop in shared space, but no bones in shared space. If you want to make a bones animation, you can render it out and we can view it online and discuss it as well.

If you don't feel like doing a cycle that's cool too. Do whatever you want and we'll discuss it, very easy going this week. And of course you don't need a project to stop in and discuss. Everyone is welcome.

So drop on by on Saturday and let's have some fun.

I'll be there guy, these meetings of yours are great and a lot of fun every time! :)

They sure are getting popular too, there's always a great turnout. As usual with all these shared space meetings only a few folks bother to post and tell you they're coming in advance, but you can almost always count on a big turnout, especially with meetings held during the daylight hours in the U.S. because it is more convenient for the folks in the U.K. and E.U.

I'll come packing a new scripted surprise or two just in case too. :D

See ya there!

Attached is a little swim cycle I did for the meeting. Pretty simple, I just did it from my mind so it's not very realistic, just was fun to make.

Well I do hope you had a great meeting Saturday as always and I'm very sorry I missed it all.

I was sick as a dog over the last two days and I'm only now starting to get back in the saddle very slowly here. Saturday I didn't wake up until 4:30PM, and when I did it was with a fever worse than when I went to bed.

Looks like Augusto had some cool stuff to go over with you there so I guess you had a good time with all that. Sorry I missed that too.

Hopefully next time I'll be ready and able, I really enjoy your meetings a lot.

Hi Mark. I was wondering where you were. Glad you're getting better. We had a nice casual meeting for the holiday. I dropped in my swimming stickman for people to check out. No formal presentation or anything, just a little fun. Paul A had a nice stickman he did all on workspace side by linking the parts in link editor. He had a little animation of him jumping. It was cool stuff. We talked about Prodigy's rig and he showed us some pictures of it. Some of the folks and I hung out a few hours. We had people popping in to visit. Later into the meeting nightflight and norm were doing a little scripting. It was a good time.

I had a request for a total beginners session where we cover the interface. I will do that in the second hour of the next meeting.

Glad it all went well Dennis.:)

Sounds like a good time and I'm sorry I missed it. Hopefully I will be able to make the next meeting, these are always fun and very helpful so I do plan to be there.

Thanks,
