This is a dumb question that needs to be asked by someone dumb - I'm game!

Where do I find my Customer ID? (number, tag, pin, whatever) Is it only on emails? I'm actually writing from work and don't have access to any archived emails at the moment but I can get onto my list of previous orders availabe to download at the caligari site and it lists them by order no. but I can't see Customer ID anywhere.

Could someone end my ignorance?

Sounds as if you saved your login information in your browser, so, you could look there. For many people it's the same as their forum ID. Perhaps thats what you did too.. ;)

Its the same as my login name? Not sure that sounds right to me. No offense Butterpaw but can someone else confirm or deny, as the case may be?

If I go to the part of the caligari website where I download my orders I firstly need to sign-in using what that page calls my "user name" - are you guys agreeing that my "user name" (in that context) is the same as my "Customer ID"?

I'm asking because as an Ambassador (I know I haven't attached the little graphic to my signature - just lazy!) if I want to claim my 10% off on an order I need to put in my ambassador code and my "Customer ID" and I'm just confused about what that is!

If you can go directly to your download page, without signing in, then your browser has saved the login for that download page.

Whether your id password are the same or not, for the forum and for the downloads page, if you have your browser 'remember' these things .. it will have one for the downloads, and another for the forum...

And in case you wonder.. my id/passwords are all different, and I don't depend on the browser.. ^_^

However, I'm sure Caligari can help you, if you email them, or phone them. :)

I phoned when having problems with the pages, and they were very helpful.. in fact they'll even take your order over the phone if you wish (that's what they did at the time I ordered tS7.51) However, now the pages work fine. ^_^

The login for the Repeat Downloads is NOT your Customer ID.

Customer ID:

Unique number that identifies you within our records, this one is set by Caligari, and is purely a number. There is no password associated with this, as it is not used to login anywhere. The number is sent to you by email when you first purchase a Caligari product. You DO use this number for your 10% off though (and your friends use it if you want to pass that saving on to them as an Ambassador).

This number is only available in your email that we send out, if you have forgotten it or don't have it to hand you will need to contact Customer Services and get them to look up your details (using name, address, email, etc).

Repeat Downloads Userid:

This userid is only used for downloads. You choose this yourself, and you also choose the password that goes with it.

Forum Username:

You select this when you sign up to the forums (if you do). You COULD pick the same name as your Repeat Downloads userid, but this would not really be recommended, just for extra security. The password for this is again picked separately from your Repeat Downloads userid, you could again pick the same one if you wanted, but again this is not recommended, just for extra security.

HTH!

Tom

Stick that answer in the FAQ section Tom, before it gets lost.

I found it when I got home and looked in my email archive. Thanks Tom for confirming that this is the only place it is found.
