Yeah, I just saw that too, WOW! If there ever was a time to buy Caligari products, that hour would be it. Not bad timing either, right after people get their Christmas cash. :)
Let's hope the servers hold up. ;) |

Think I got most stuff though...
See Toms list of courses in this thread:
http://forums1.caligari.com/truespace/showthread.php?t=4647
This is really a great offer, hopes it spreads on other forums as well.
Now only hopes I don't miss it ;)
Clock here:
http://www.caligari.com/CaligariClock.asp
and the one hour offer is between 8:00 and 9:00

What a deal these all are!!!
dePak is $49 bucks for an hour... with that anyone who has TS6.6 can once again have an opportunity to get a fully registered version of CKGame Factory's awesome Cloth Motion plugin, and this is the only way left to get it now since CKGame Factory's website appears to have gone away forever!:)
And then there's the Conversion Paks for $49 and so many other great deals like each of ANY of the Courses for $15... the scripting courses, nurbs courses... whew! These are really tough choices at these prices!!!
Amazing offers... this was a really great way to kick off the new year for sure!:)

I don't think you get darktree, just the plugin and a bunch of textures. I think the plugin is freely available anyway. |

Wow! I agree with Prodigy! What the #$%# is that??
Sheesh lot of bang for your buck at $200! Heck it's worth it just for the upgrade pricing to 7.6 or 8.0. :D |

There is no doubt that the sale offers are jaw dropping! But I'm going to be a fly in the soup, I have one minor issue and that's with the sale price for VRay. For the one hour door buster offer, it's set to US$199. Sorry, but that's not a door buster offer. Why? Two reasons...
1.
Look at the amazing discounts on all the other stuff.
TrueSpace drops by 66% of its original price from US$595 to US$199. WOW!!!!!
TrueSpace 6.6 drops by 75%!! WOW!!!!!!!
GameSpace approximately 66% discount.
The paks get a 75% discount.
Flash gets approximately a 66% discount.
Any course gets approximately an 80% discount!!!
All superb discounts, jaw dropping stuff. But VRay, Vray only gets a 33% discount. Still good but not door busting good.
2.
And second, the price of US$199 for the hour, we've seen this before. Other times when Caligari has given offers on VRay it has come in at that price, US$199. Where as all the others are hitting now lows, VRay is just hitting what it has in the past.
Please don't flame me!!
All I'm saying is, when I saw the email, I instantly was interested in getting VRay.
When I went to the page and the first price drop I saw was TrueSpace from US$595 to US$199, my mouth watered in anticipation of what VRay had dropped to.
But then when I saw VRay's discount, I was disappointed.
The sale is fantastic, I'm not saying it's not, but the price for VRay, while good, is not door busting good. It's the usual specials discount price.
My funds are very poor now just after Christmas, but I'm interested in getting VRay so I'll see on Monday if I can swing the funds needed to partake in this amazing sale. It's an amazing sale indeed and my post here is in no way trying to take from that. |

Where's the rocket launcher??
hahaha.. Realy, remember Vray is a third party plugin.. and all we know how good and fast it is.. and we know vray is not a Caligari developent..
So, that's why i think Vray cant drop the price to much..
Equeal is a very very good price.. you can get 7.5 and vray for under 400$ that's cheap! |

Yeah, I see what you mean Paul, but the positives here definitely outweigh that one negative I think, and that really isn't a negative, just not as huge of a discount as was possible with the other offerings.
My guess is that Caligari would gladly cut way into the price of Vray if it were at all possible for them to do so... I suspect that the deal they have with the creators of Vray prevent them from reducing the price on it below that exact amount... that may even be a contractual limitation imposed on Caligari by the creators of Vray to ensure that other vendors of Vray compatable 3D authoring products don't come banging the doors down at Vray headquarters looking for similar price cuts when the one Caligari already offers is probably as low as the Vray guys can possibly go and still cut a profit.:p
All in all though, this Doorbusters Special is one truly amazing sale for sure, and like Jack said above it is worth it for the future version upgrade pricing alone!:D
I purchased Vray when I got TS7.51, and although it wasn't easy for me to fork over that much cash at the time I can definitely say it was an investment well spent. Vray in trueSpace kicks butt... it may not be as fully developed as it is in the outrageously priced plugin versions of it found in the current upgrade paths of other 3d authoring softwares, but the results still blow my mind every time I work with it... it's a "must have" tool for sure!:)

Yeah, I was expecting vray to be a little lower too. I hadn't considered whatever deal they have with the vray guys though, as Mark said. I am torn between some paks or vray. The paks are cool but I don't use model side that much. Might be better to get vray and invest in the future. I wish I could get it all! |

3d frog darktree does not come with it but you get a major discount on darktree if you have payed for Symbiont !!!!! its only around 100 $
for it! Darktree is worth every penny !It works with every app because
you can save the textures bump etc. seperatlyif you dont use symbiont

3DFroggie it's your birthday after all, remember, that's a great excuse don't you think to use the golden credit card.
Oki this is maybe not so family and more personal but...
Be wise and chose well...
I also think vray is very different and not to suprised the price is once again the same low one, and this is a good deal, but the other prices are really looow.

Phew!! I thought I was going to get beaten up for my post above. I didn't think of the deal Caligari have with the company behind VRay, I guess that explains it. Shame because as great as this sale is, it's really the wrong time of year for me for this. I've been looking at what funds I have available and budgeting to see if I can swing the cash for VRay. I get a great conversion rate on the Euro to the Dollar and it works out at around €135 for it. That's great indeed, but I still don't think I can swing it. I'll know on Monday, fingers crossed (X). |

Beat up? No way guy, you're family here!:)
Yeah, I know what you mean about the time of year, it's a very rough time of year for me too, I hope I can swing a few deals here too but funds are tight right now for sure.
Still, even if I don't get to take full advantage of all this I wanted to make sure everybody else knew about it in time, I know there's going to be a lot of very happy people worldwide on Wednesday now and I'm actually very happy with what I already have in the way of Caligari products and a bright future I owe directly to Caligari now too.:)
Great times these, and that's a great sale to kick the year off with for sure!

Paul,
Try to work out a payment plan with Caligari if you can. No company says no to money. Pay half this month and half next month or something like that. It is at least worth a try, plus both sides are happy in the end. |
