Greetings folks

It's time to get back on track with another animator's club meeting. Meeting will be this Saturday, January 12, at 12pm pst / 3pm est / 8pm UK time.

For information and links to get to the meeting from truespace or trueplay please visit our web page supplied by Caligari:

http://www.caligari.com/AnimatorsClub.asp

This week we will be covering some of the basics of procedural animation. Frootee will show some ways to animate an object using mathematical equations. And I will be presenting some very basic examples of using the nodes that come with truespace to make some procedural animation. Bear in mind, I am completely new to this. I am going over the tutorials right now and should be able to present some basic stuff. So please don't be intimidated by this topic if you are new. I am new too. Hopefully some more experienced users will come by to help us out.

Hope to see you all there.

Thanks

I'll definitely try to make it too. I just got my copy of "The Animator's Survival Kit" in the mail today. :) I didn't realize how thick the book was. Looks like it has a ton of useful information. Already read the first few chapters and had a couple of realizations.

Just a "heads up,"

Sorry to mention this but the title of the thread here also needs the time changed from 3pm pst to 12pm pst.

Actually that's the one that will probably get noticed the most on Saturday morning.;)

Aren't time warps fun?:p

See ya there guys, whenever it is!:D

I hadn't thought of that. If scala is around to issue us passwords or something or however it works I don't see why not. I tried it, it said bad login, so I guess the server is up. Scala you around today? I'll im you for a password.

I tried connecting using:

Server address: 66.160.214.225

NickName: 3dfrog

LoginName (optional): 3dfrog

Password: true (this was the one you posted in the other thread, I thought it was universal, guess you cancelled that.)

Thanks

3dfrog, I just sent you that PM. Yes the TrueSpaceTS server is up. Here is the login info:

Open up TeamSpeak Client than click on Connection and than Quick Connect

In the Quick Connect Window add the following:

Server address: 66.120.214.225:8767

Nickname: your TrueSpace Forum Nickname

Login Name (optional)- use this after I register your nicknames.

Password: true

I guess others can log in and I can register them so they can have "Voice" and speak during the meeting while you "3dfrog" are talking.

What ever you guys want to do.

thanks scala you rock!

Edit:

Just tried, got this message:

[14:47:32] No reply from server

Maybe the server is offline

or maybe teamspeak is not running on it

Make sure you change the IP address to include the port number at the end AFTER A COLON like so:

66.160.214.225:8767

Note that is three periods and one colon above

That should work - see you in a few

Correction....

You're right, the server is down - I just checked.

Drop him a PM and he will hopefully make the meet today and pop the server back up.
