I made those today .... but I post them

here for grabs. Those are material preview objects

like all renderengines have !They are very handy if

you post some materials on the forum to show and

share ! I made them for all 3 renderoptions.

V for Vray ... L for Lightworks and D for realtime.

In the zip are all the scene files you need for TS5

and up !

When trying to decide if a texture is one that you wish to use, It helps to have a "preview Object" I use a plane, a cube and a teapot. Rayman is sharing his "sphere on a pedestal" with the community. Then if you have any textures you wish to share, you can render that texture on a sphere so people can see what it looks like. :p

This thread should probably be moved to the Garage though. :D

This is a common way of showing textures if you share them !

Other sites just use a ball - still other's only show the flat image, or a perspective plane or a cube

any way you want to do it will work (limited to what your favorite sharepoint site prefers).

Yes you are right I forgot to mention Dribble but did not forget

it as such ! The D can be used for Dribble too !

Here and in the Garage I posted this Preview scene for

Vray.

Just as an example !

Feel free to use it...:)
