I liked Lars's picture a great deal - its simple style and use of dof appealed very much. I notice the shape of the door seems wider at the top than the bottom - I'd loved to have seen some more such distortion of the shapes in the background building. Nice none the less. |

I always like Wizards entries I need to know how he did the grass!
Flavio submitted some real gems. ( I really liked Flavio's improvement on a November submission, bottom center rendering, I want that room!) The Clarinet, Submarine and Tank were all nice entries. The distorted perspective was original and interesting too and might have been influenced by a hallway in "BeetleJuice".
What I found odd was the fact the Grasshopper/Duck rendering have received zero comments from this forum, good or bad. Not always clear what that might mean. I'm glad it was selected, more cartoony then most submissions here and shows trueSpace's range of styles it is capable of. (crock crock)
p.s. Wizard, why is there an unmanned car parked illegally behind the bus? It is at LEAST 2 feet from the curb, move it buster!:D
p.p.s. I just watched the Animation entries and the Bull one had me laughing. It really should have been called "Mad Cow"...either way this guy does some crazy hand action which I will apply at the next wedding reception I go to... |

Congratulations to all those selected. I always like Flavio's architectural renders, the places they depict always look so warm and inviting - not to mention the technical skill he displays so well!
I particularly like Nathans submarine model - the image is well executed but the design of that sub is excellent!
@Steinie - Re; "I always like Wizards entries I need to know how he did the grass!". Thanks Bob - the secret to the grass is fertilizer! Alright, it's not - create a blade of grass, copy it a few times, adding individual tweaks. Ensure they're not touching and Object Union them all together - copy a few times, distribute randomly in the same plane and Object Union them together. Repat this process until you start getting those odd boolean effects where geometry starts vanishing and there is a patch of grass. Copy this and relocate as required. Then add fertilizer!;)
Re; "why is there an unmanned car parked illegally behind the bus?" - Country folk from out-of-town - you know what they're like!
Re; "the Grasshopper/Duck rendering have received zero comments" - I commented on it at Renderosity. :D. I wouldn't take that to heart - it happens to me too occasionally. One thing I always enjoy about your work is the humour and the weirdness (ok so that's 2 things!). There is a Dali-esque sort of twistedness to your work that I find appealing and refreshing. The thing is your work is not photorealistic nor does it exhibit outstanding modeling from a technical perspective. Those who are interested in such things may well feel unqualified to comment - particularly as your distinctive work is such a personal, 'steinie-esque' vision.
And, most importantly I don't think anyone ever laughs because of my Wizard-esque work the way laugh with yours!
I'm off to look at the animations now..... |

Thank you again ...:)
All are winners!!!, each with different techniques and with great creativity, congratulations to all!!!
by the way, Wizard , the technical skill is How to work with many bugs... :)
I think should have galleries in several styles, like Cartoon, 2d, architecture, fiction, fantasy, etc ...
In this way would be easier to see all artist and their works, because there are many techniques and creativity and different styles,is my suggestion.
Sorry I have a bad english...
best for all
