Splinters, thanks for keeping us up to date on 3dworld. Have you thought of starting a 3dworld thread and just posting comments on each issue?



Great idea in practice but some months can be a little, err...uneventful really. Last month's was OK but it is issue 100 and 102 that have been real corkers and those are the ones I wanted to share with you all, especially that Carrara 5 Pro deal...wow!


If two or three months were equally uneventful the thread would disappear into oblivion but fear not I will keep posting if the issues are good...:D

Good on you transient - there are a couple of places around here which air-freight them but charge $7 more for it!! I'm too stingy for that - anyway I told my local newsagent to hold it for me...... if I'm patient it'll arrive eventually ..

Borders charges 19.95 AUD for 3D World no matter if it's air-freighted in. I didn't mind it at first as I had only bought a issue here or there but now since it seems to be the 3D bible (more or less) I may get a `script to it. I don't mind $20 a month, that's a few pints that I can skip once out of a month :D
