Well if working with nodes is something you like I give you a heads up on

a nice node based texture creator.:)

Its a Photoshop plugin !

Its called Filterforge. It has over 4000 different filters at the moment.

I stumbled over it at a marvolous Vue tutorial site.

This videotutorial is from this site and the first part of the video is about

the editor....... the rest is very interesting for vue users .........(so you dont have to look at the whole video !)

The Vue tutorials on this site all are fantastic and 2 are included to 3d World

this month.

Heres the link:

http://www.geekatplay.com/tutorials/filterforge/

and here is the link to filterforge.......

Your welcome Jack !

Just found out that filterforge installs a standalone too !

So it should work without photoshop.

Plus I tried it with paint shop pro 10 it works too !

3D World has another goodie from Luxology this month..

Its "Imagesynth" for free.... for making seemless textures...:)

You're just a link machine today Peter! :)

BTW, I installed MapZone and I was very impressed with the quality of the nodes. Very cool stuff.

Being something of a GIMP fan I have a totally senseless and unjustifiable bias against PhotoShop  . I've got MapZone installed though and I agree with Jack - I think it's brilliant. Even though I have no real idea what I'm doing with it I've come up with some excellent seamless textures from experimenting with the default node setups supplied with the program.
