I've never seen one of his movies - and I know it's a popular pastime to trash his films but are they really that bad? |

Keeping one's wallet closed is the best protest against a movie. |

yep, agree with James.
I don't understand where he still gets financial support for his projects.
Ignoring is the best way. |

Actually Im generally opposed to movies-from-games, or even games-from-movies. In most cases they are simple cash-ins that lack merit (not just Mr Boll's). There are exceptions, but as a rule they just dont have the production values nor love and attention that a standalone project gets.
But, I believe in freedom of speech and action. If someone wants to make those, and they get the green light from copyright holders, and find their funding, well more power to them. Telling someone to stop making movies I dont think is fair, no matter how bad the movies may be.
Im still not sure they are that bad - will they be watched in 50 years, as a kind of classic? That happened to Plan 9 From Outer Space, but I just cant quite see it with Uwe's movies, meaning they really aren't quite bad enough hehe!
And no, I havent watched one start to finish, just seen a snippet of Bloodrayne on telly and thats about it. I too vote with my wallet / time, and dont feel the need to vote in any other way.
Just my personal opinions on all this of course! Besides I find much amusement in reading about him and his films and his boxing match challenges to reviewers, why deprive myself of that entertainment (probably more entertaining than the movies themselves ;) )

I thought plan 9 from outer space had a weird sort of poetry in the voice overs. I liked it. |

Actually I find there is a reel need (pun, get it) for directors such as Uwe Boll. If nothing else he does offer hope to those that need it. |
