Without mentioning any brand names, thought I'd pass this along.

How much would you pay for:

A 3D package (the same one advertised in that Magazine)
A Landscape package
A 3D modeler that is the envy of many 3D software packages
Lip sync software

Rumors have it that all can be had for $195.00.

If you want some more tools in your kit (sorry they can't replace trueSpace, but can help) :D

...then investigate the bundle

I didn't mention any names, but did give a hint - heh

Can't have too many tools ya know!

C'mon James, why so cryptic?

Here is the bundle and an amazing price for software that works well alongside tS:

That really is an amazing price. I already have the three main programs, but if I didn't I would be tempted for £100. They are part of my toolset but can never replace tS for convenience and power (except for that hair of course...)

Still, I am too excited about tS7.6 to care just now...:D

Well, Norm let me back into the forums if I behaved, especially about mentioning other products that compete with tS. So I'm rather cautious when it comes to that aspect.

I agree with you about 7.6 though.

Well, tS is still the program for me but Hexagon was something stupid like £1 when it changed to Daz. Bryce was little more and Carrara was £35ish. So I got all them for less than this deal (without the mimic software) and hardly use them. As I said before; if tS had hair as good, i would never use Carrara at all.

If I didn't need the $200 for 7.6 I might bite into this one just for the looksee.

Wow, on the Lightwave forums people do that all the time -

criticize it and compare it with other competing apps I mean.

Feel free to do so.

Norm warned me that Roman doesn't appreciate it and I suppose have low tolerance of it.

So, I try my best to be diplomatic about it. :)

Well, how very corporate of him. That's ok though, I for one

am at a place where I need to stop comparing and get down to

work.

If I wanted to bash truespace, there are plenty of other places

to do it. But I'm more interested in finding out about the good

points. I already heard about the defects in other places.

You have to be a platinum member to get this price, so it's really more like $230.

It's a smart way to improve the number of subscribers, which is where daz make their real money, or so I've heard.
