With memory and hard drive prices lower than ever and chips like the AMD 64's going for about £20 i thought this might intrest a few people here:

I'd love to know how to use such hardware configuration with trueSpace.


It seems that there is no hard drive in that IKEA cabinet / computer case : only a network hard disk. Is it right ?

Therefore, how are the rendering CPU tasks dispatched to all the cores ?


I belive that tSNet drives trueSpace sessions launched on every PC. How will it manage that Linux system ? Do we need tSNet here BTW or are the calculations driven by an other way ?


So many questions that require an answer before I start to build that render farm for good ! :D

I hope we'll get network rendering built into the workspace or with a plugin when the sdk is released, it'll give me a reason to keep old pc's around.

I wonder if it could be done with a script?

Me too, I can build myself a rack mount system with all the spare parts I have. :D
