Thanks for the course, Jack and Caligari. I haven't seen it yet, but it seems to have rave reviews. Your work has been excellent, and I am sure this course will be as well.
Thanks again,
- Jeff |

I watched it recently and I like it a lot. It answered a lot of questions on how some modeling is done in Ts. However has there been Organics course 2 or 3? I like to see what is done with that fish body. |

I'm pretty sure Jack's just waiting from Caligari so that he can make the remaining parts - there's certainly plenty of interest.... |

The more people state how helpful Organics 1 has been, the more likely they will get Jack to make 2 and 3.
This course helped me a LOT in my modeling. Mirror modeling and point edit were great helps! The month after this course, I got an honorable mention in the monthly gallery. |

I just wanted to say thanks too! Before watching your tutorial I hadn't got a clue (3D being new to me). But you were clear and informative, like briefly explaining about quads etc without getting bogged down or boring, which hooked me where other tutorials have left me still baffled or missed out essentials a newbie like me needs.
I'm really looking forward to your next one so I can learn more!
Thanks again. |

I just finished the Organics Modeling course. Literally, just moments ago. I searched to find info on the 2nd and 3rd volumes. Thank you very much for the course. I am new to 3d stuff altogether. TrueSpace seems to be a very powerful tool! I am eagerly awaiting future courses to continue my learning. I will now move on to another course.
Thank you again! |

Good news for us is that Jack is either started or about to start work on Volume 2. Bad news... We don't think that MS will pay for a freebie, so we will have to buy it. and Volume 3.
But that won't stop me from getting them when they come out. Jack is a very good teacher. |

Kena where did you hear that the next two tutorials won't be free? I missed reading that one. |

I can't remember exactly either, but I think JAck said something along the lines of 'I don't think MS will subsidise the remaining chapters' or something along those lines. I think it may have been over at the other place (;)), possibly in one of the Y-ray threads, where he was referring to his various committments, but not certain without spending a while checking... |

Yeah, at this point Microsoft isn't interested in purchasing a license from me to distribute Parts II and III.
It's a lot of work. Part I took me 6 months to produce, so unfortunately I can't do it for free. :o I'm planning to price it at around $20 or so, hopefully that won't be too expensive and enough people will buy it to cover my production costs.
The good news is that assuming I can avoid NDA issues with using the TS 7.61 beta, work should begin on Part II later this week. I'd been waiting on the patch release to start, but if I keep waiting it'll never get done. I'm guessing a 4 month production time. One can hope that the patch will be out by then and I won't have to delay release. |

Well I'm glad there are two more tutorials in the works coming from Jack. You did a great job on the first one.
If you cover UVmapping and texturing mysteries using 7.6 you'll be a millionaire! Good Luck with this project.
p.s. ask $19.99 instead...;)
It just sounds cheaper. |

I will most certainly pay $20 for parts II and III.
I found your tutorial to be the best. Please continue!

Sad to heard that jack, is hard to believe how a billionaire company like MS has no interest on support their own investments or those who promote their brand new acquisition...
Keep your good work Jack. |

We will of course support Jack, just that we are not in a position to finance a new course. But that is not the same as no support! He will receive any help he needs in making the course (and that can be quite intensive), plus there will be promotion of the course on the Caligari site, and even with all that, all profits he makes will be his own as he won't be under any license or contract to us.
It's quite a good opportunity for people now, in fact, as the door is open for people to make, give away or sell training and tutorials. There are a lot of knowledge hungry tS users out there!
HTH!

Thomas, im not telling that put our name in front Caligari's website is not help. It is..
But let's be hones, first, let's release all 4 free, now wont support vray, tutorials or anything that involves money..
MS seems is on a 0$ Invesment statement.
What can we do with 0 invesment? Just promote on our website and show how much content truespace have..
There's a FACT!
Less content = Less users
More content = More users
At my point of view, Truespace is not at the top of the hill.. nonono... is in the lower middle.. Instead of pull up Truespace is stoping Vray and such.. If MS dont help TS to climb that hill, grow (not on just downloads) will take decades..
How many people buy tutorials or plugins from Blender?
Not millions right? that's the point.. |

Thanks Tom, I'm certainly not unhappy about the situation, getting featured (free advertising) and being able to keep all the money from the sales is a good deal for me so I can't complain. :D
Just wanted to give the folks a heads up on why the courses wouldn't be free, that's all. :o
Besides if we don't start building up a willingness to buy add-ons, models, and training, then no one will continue to develop for TrueSpace.
Thanks for all the support guys! |

im learning as i go
i got the 1 tutorial and after watching it i wanted to get the next chapters, later found out there not released yet.
i had truespace for some time now an tought myself from reading from these forums and vids.
i have a grasp on some stuff in truespace, but i can relate to all newbies, weare like babies. ready to soke up anything that will help us grow.
and what is better than a visual aid? ..
id pay the 19.99, its worth the time jack puts into making these tutorials for helping us newbies grow, and become. . . ADVANCED NEWBIES!! !!!! !!!!..!!!!!!!!! |
