You have good hearing...I can't hear anything...
Reminds me of a joke;
Middle aged woman looks in the mirror, spots a few more wrinkles and sighs. Then she turns to her husband and says "Darling, I am getting older...please, pay me a compliment to cheer me up".
To which the husband replies. "Well, your eye-sight is spot on!"

Roman does type quite loudly, I'll give you that. I've heard him banging away at the keyboard a couple of times in shared space at the Thursday Night Live. He must go through a lot of them. :p |

According to the abstract accompanying the statistical spreadsheet on the home page of the PROW.com website (Paranoid Roman Ormandy Watchers):
"The average number of days between blogs is 32.1 days (data base begins with May 10, 2007 announcement that 7.5 was shipping and does not include two 1-day double blogs). It has now been 33.8 days since the last blog, 1.7 intolerable days too long. The longest drought was just the last period, at 42 days and there was a 41 day drought back in Feb 08. PROW members grow restless. Fights are breaking out. Wind is picking up. Rumors of mutiny are muttered below decks, yet the Captain remains silent. What can it all mean? And what is that new flag that has been hoisted - the one with rainbow colors that just keeps waving and waving? Paranoid minds want to know!" |

.....hmmm, doesn't the constitution say "equal rights for everyone" so logically this can't be right if only one chills in  or do we work with inverted logic in this case...:o |

Nope. That's a misconception and incorrect interpretation that has been popularized.
What we do have is a right to the "pursuit of happiness." Which is something entirely different and the constitution doesn't say that should be equal either. ;)
Actually I'm incorrect on that as well. The "rights" generally talked about are not law, but rather in the U.S. declaration of independence:
http://www.usconstitution.net/declar.html
So as I understand it, unless codified elsewhere don't have the force of law anyway.
Here's the U.S. constitution detailed:
http://www.usconstitution.net/const.html
Of course that is all idealism and doesn't apply to the rest of the world, and much jurisprudence and legislation has limited the "rights" detailed there over the years. |

What's this thread about?
The Declaration of Independence says "... all men are created equal ..." and that we are endowed by our Creator with certain rights including Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. An important concept there is that rights exist beyond the power of any government. Then the Declaration provides a long list of grievances vs. England which are the reasons for declaring independence.
The Constitution defined the structure, functions, and procedures of most of the current government -- three branches, etc. It was quickly amended to protect people's rights from the government's power. The first ten amendments, the bill of rights, forbids congress from making laws "respecting" or interfering with an establishment of religion, interfering with free speech, free press, peaceful assembly, and acknowledges rights to keep and bear arms, a fair trial by jury, from unreasonable searches, troops in your house in peacetime, and cruel punishment. The bill of rights states that listing some rights there does not mean that no other rights exist and that the federal government has no powers except those granted by the Constitution or which the Constitution forbids the states to have. Any other powers belong to the states or to the people. |

frootee, your kidding, right? You don't know who Roman is, or what 7.6 means?
If you really are serious:
1. Roman is the founder of Caligari.
2. When we say "7.6", we are talking about the up coming new version of Truespace. I saw some videos of the testing in action. There's cloth (with wind to make it blow around), much improved animation and physics controls, and possibly more on the way. In 7.6, you can finnally extrude edges, according to someone else's post I read).
Happy to help. |
