Is there a way to attach objects to animated characters in workspace? I have tried Clintons parenting script here http://www.clintons3d.com/truespace/truespaceParenting.htm. I have tried using the glue unglue function in trueblues script here http://forums1.caligari.com/truespace/showpost.php?p=35795&postcount=11

For example lets say I would like to attach an object to this characters hand bone in the workspace..

I have not found an easy way to do this AFTER the character is skinned and bvh animated. This might be something for Mr Bones expertise.

any tips? .... thanks ....

Thanks Jack. Boy, I feel so stupid. I missed that easy function. I just attached sphere to hand in this animation as you just mentioned in a few seconds. Thanks for your help. Now, If I can figure out how to have object DETACH during animations... hmmmmm :)

you can not keyframe attach object to bone or anything, so you pretty much have to have 2 objects, one with object attached and one without and position them so it looks like he lets go of the ball when you hide the first object and unhide the second object. I did it in my frog animation by making two seperate scenes.

Thanks 3dfrog! I did not think about hiding and unhiding of the attached object via keyframing. I know how to "keyframe" hiding and unhiding of objects during animations. Great tip!
