Howdy Folks,

3rd, Any ideas or suggestions for a new site design or layout. (Logos, Font types and or concepts)

A free version of the MonsterBones MegaMotions Pak will be given to anyone who obliges.

Hi Mr Bones, Iam working on something right now for you to take a look at. It will give you some ideas. Since I already own your monster mega pak and a few other paks I will just do it for saying thanks for all your help. I was a business web designer for years. Sold over 2 thousand business ecommerce sites in the past (I was more business than artistic ... kind of like Yahoo and Msn and Google are not artistic business sites but just business). I also had a hosting business with over 30,000 clients. Now I just have fun on ebay and 3d stuff. :jumpy: |

Hi Mr Bones, I only had 10 minutes so I threw this together. I will do something totally different later and more in depth when I have more time. This will get the ball rolling! P.S. I made the header 780 wide which fits width comfortably for people still viewing with 800 wide resolution :jumpy: |

Hi J,
Looking good Amigo,
Only crit is that I would like the skeleton more visible against the background.
A more glow in the dark white or greenish glow against a negative or darker background. I like the font selection too, this gives me some inspiration and a direction to head off with.
we still have a ways to go, so please keep these Ideas coming, Very much appreciated
Cheers
P.s. The cloth in hand is a very nice touch too.

Just had an idea of using a car or motorcycle that mr bones could be posed on,
A souped up model T- or a custom chromed out Trike bike Orange county style..
Might embelish or accent the idea of motion...
With lightning coming out the pipes and a star background.
Might even have a mrs bones(Binky or tankgirl) on the bike and Mr.B in the car, cept he is oversized with eyes bulging and hand on the shifter like those old cartoon illustrations (MadMouse Style)
What do you think? |

Hi J,
Looking better,
Just a little lighter green, and try inverting the white backgound with skulls to black.
I would make the clouds in background more stars or black behind the skeleton, and make the skelton white (glow if possible) not yellow.
I would also make the black stroke white on the little letters and the big letters glow edge white.
Thanks again and Cheers
Joe

Hi Mr Bones, The image of the skeleton scene is an image. So it is hard to change that look. However, if you have photoshop or an image processor you can do some kind of tweaking. I will post image here. If anyone knows how to change it like Mr Bones mentions just post it back. Changing fonts is no problem of course. Just the image.... image is attached to this post.:jumpy: |

Check out these T-Rods,
Download zip and tell me your favorite or which may be most appropriate for TrueBones. (Imagine bones popping out the rumble seat in back..)
I will be attempting to model the modelT that is most appropriate.
Thanks again and Cheers |

Those look great. Keep in mind that you should find images if possible with totally white backgrounds. Then all kinds of cool things can be done. The actual image can then be cut out of the picture. Only one of the hotrod images had a white background and that hotrod had shadows. So the dark shadows negated a totally white background.Cant wait to see what SOMEONE CAN DO WITH FLASH! :jumpy: |

Seeing how I do better at programming, I'm working on a flash BVH viewer, similar to this demo here:
http://ascollada.org/examples/motion-capture/bvh/
The code for this example is opensource, so I'm looking at setting it up so you can choose from a list of BVH files and have it play them for you. Perhaps even allow you to interact with the scene (rotate around the view, etc.)
Would this help your website Mr. Bones?
:D

Much more what I had in mind!
Thanks you!
I would experiment with this by making the cross bones the T in trueBones,(T laying down or the T's shadow) replacing the standing skeleton on the left with just one looking down skull, which may be replaced later, but keep for now.
Just to clarify, Take the T off the front of TrueBones.Com so it says rueBones.Com Then make the main T ghostly see through but the skulls crossbones solid or as a shadow and that can be the implied T (laying down). Maybee even rotate the skull and crossbones to the right so it is a more upright T, but still tilted. Just an idea, but it might work.
Thanks again and Cheers

Wow, Cool.:jumpy:
This would be of great value and help to the TrueBones Website.
Please keep me updated and let me know if you need any assistance with files or anything.
I see the collada viewer as well that supports skinning, Im also interested in that to show skinned bones characters.
I wonder if TruePlay could be embedded in web this way, If so we can use that.
However the BVH viewer you showed is a true shoe in for BVH preview, which has been clamored for since dayone.
I dont think truePlay supports just a bones viewer. That would be cool if it did.
Thanks again and Cheers

Barely on topic but you might be amused to see a few of the lyrics to a popular song of the late 1920s. Written by Edgar Leslie, music by Walter Donaldson:
'Tain't No Sin
When you hear sweet syncopation
And the music softly moans,
'Tain't no sin to take off your skin
And dance around in your bones.
When it gets too hot for comfort
And you can't get an ice cream cone,
'Tain't no sin to take off your skin
And dance around in your bones. |

I really don't have time to design this but my idea, (sprung from your hotrod pics)(which by the way is remnant of the old RAT FINK Days)
is a Hot Rod Hearse with bones falling out of the back compartment. (like a pickup truck)
Maybe the skull Splinters is showing us is placed on the doors. Put a top hat on him and he could be the driver. |

my advice, and I have some experience int eh field of web design and such, is keep it simple. Im sorry to be blunt but your website as is, is not user friendly whatsoever, unfortunatly there seems to be text everywhere and an exceedingly unhelpful interface. You are providing some great resources but your website lets this down.
If you like I might be able to help you somehow, I would advise using a CMS (content based management system) such as Joomla utilising a shop plugin, or perhpas just simply using an open source shop script and creating your own template for it, this gives for a more stable and user friendly layout.
If you want my help just let me know and ill see what I can do.
I dont want to sound nasty, but I have read various texts regarding web usability and have completed a module in web design on my current university course, it doesnt make me the most qualified lol but I have designed a few websites for people so have a fairly good grounding |
