hi wim. I'm not exactly sure what you want to do. You dont really draw a line in truespace like you would in a program like photoshop. You can make a cube by selecting the primitive tool and just clicking in workspace. To make a picture of it, go to your bottom right icons and select render to file and follow the prompts in the window. |

you sure can, of course it will take practice, but start with learning the tools and try some of the courses. You should try jack edwards course to learn the tools. If you want to print it on paper just render to file then print it on your printer. It takes practice and patience to learn. Best of luck. |

Hey Wim,
Yes you can in short. Use cubes to make walls and doors, booleans to cut windows, make windows and use glass shaders/textures on the window mesh.
I know this may sound alien if you are seeing things from a 2D perspective. Remember this is a 3D application, you have to think 3D. X Y Z - left/right, forward/backward, up/down ( to simplify ish ).
What you ask about the house seems that you might need to familiarise yourself with 3D programs and how they work first - do the basics in Truespace first - ie the manual and the beginner tute vids in the training section above. If I am assuming wrong and you have been 3Ding for a while I apologise ...
cheers

Maybe having a look at this Architecture course AFTER DOING THE BASICS might be useful:
http://www.caligari.com/products/trueSpace/ts5/Courses/NewArchitecture.asp?Cate=Training&SubCate=Older
The basics Course:
http://www.caligari.com/products/trueSpace/ts5/Courses/NewGettingStarted_tS7.asp?Cate=Training&Subcate=Fundamental
And for earlier TS v6.6 ( basically the Model side of the app you now have ) :
http://www.caligari.com/products/trueSpace/ts5/Courses/NewGettingStarted.asp?Cate=Training&Subcate=Older
BUT OF COURSE - if you do NOT want to bother with all this modelling stuff / grow your own - go buy OR google for free Model Downloads of houses:
http://www.marlinstudios.com/products/housemodels/housemodels.htm - BUY EXAMPLE
http://www.marlinstudios.com/samples/samphouses.htm - FREE SAMPLES ( get obj ver )
http://artist-3d.com/free_3d_models/01architecture_design.php - Might need to log in to get free models
Once you have your free model loaded in TS you should be able to edit it and re texture it differently ( more learning )

I think what is being asked here, is can you send it to the printer to print it out. There is no Print command in tS7.6. You could of course render out your image and then Print it out by other Image software. |
