looks good so-far, maybe NURBS-ing it would reduce the sharpness a bit. Are you going to add wings?

Like it! Yeah, are you going to add wings? You could go a lot of different directions w/ this. In any case its looking pretty ominous and menacing!:D

One suggestion is that maybe your gun pods would be better off being made from spheres instead of tubes. Their rotation looks a bit limited/awkward as is, but I like their location.

Nice stuff, looking forward to seeing some more!

Hi All; Thanks for the kind words. After looking at the work done on this sight I tried to delete mine, but could not figure out how to. Those things on the sides are the wings. I was considering how a space ship would fly in space and since there is no need for lift I opted to go as wingless as possible. How do you use nurbs or the other thing you mentioned. This is my first try at learning ts6.6 So I'm having a bit of fun distroing stuff before I even make it. haha As I read the manual it does not explain things very well at times. Like how to draw an octigon using poly ? forgot the name. I'll get back to on that one. Well all thanks again and have agreat day.

I think that's how everyone starts in 3D. We start out with ideas on what we want to do, then take a step back because there is so much to learn.

In my opinion, the best trueSpace video ever made which gives superb information on modeling. It was done by 3DBuzz (who has his own huge Web Service at 3dbuzz.com, although almost zero with trueSpace.)

This video series can be found at:

http://www.caligari.com/gamespace/tutorial/video_3DBuzz.asp

It dealing with modeling an elf for a game, but the fundamentals are all there. From start to finish.

Well worth the time to download the videos and add them to your personal tutorial folder. Watch them over and over, you'll see how it's done.
