When I found this forum a special place with special people. People who donate their time for the benefit of others, advising, helping and sharing of their expertise for the benefit of others! I would like to know what time do you spend a day connected to this forum? We have thought this?

Time is a dimension I no long dwell in, as it requires constraints and tracking with either digital or analog devices.

Yeah right Jack, we all know you are on 24/7. I had heard that you don't even blink. Of course I didn't believe that...but then one of your friends sent me a photo. :p

As for me, I pop on and off the forums throughout the day too. Some days more than others. Depends if I'm busy working on something or not.

I'd like to use your immediate response as evidence that I was right. :p

The first thing that popped into my head when I thought of someone staring at the tS forums 24/7 was "A Clockwork Orange". Hard to forget that scene. VERY twisted, but a classic movie. ;)

I am usually 2 to 3 hours, but I think it depends on many factors, depending also on my time and interest in any article or talk ... before the launch of version 7.6, the site was very stopped, many doubts and uncertainties about the future of the program. Also remember that people here had been friends by dismissing this community, where I was sad, equal to many here. Today understand that has much enthusiasm and very active in all the ambassadors to try to unravel this so many dear tool! I dedicate this small post in tribute to those who drive in here. That the force is with you!

I once saw a computer a bit like that in 1986 - the school I went to was donated it from somewhere...didn't work.

easy to use...fortran...ick. actually my work relies heavily on the latest fortran stuff you can get from intel...I don't touch it fortunately.

LOL :D, well actually the background are the controls panels for a S5W core submarine plant. The left is SPCP (Steam plant control panel) with the throttle wheel, the outer or larger wheel is for the ahead turbines and the smaller inner is for the astern throttles. Middle is the RPCP (Reactor Plant Control Panel) and the right is the EPCP (Electric Plant Control Panel). The real computers where the operators sitting in front of them. I don't think any S5W (Sub Reactor core 5 from Westinghouse) cored submarines are in operation now days except maybe training facility in Charleston South Carolina.

You think that is relaxed. I am just finishing week 5 of my 8 week summer vacation. 7 weeks after I go back, I get a week off; seven more weeks then 3weeks off!!

Bloody teachers eh?

Still, why do they insist on working us the equivalent of a full year in the actual time we teach!! At least I got a web site built this summer...:D

Splinters I think the teachers in N.Ireland get even more weeks in the summer than that. They certainly used to.

Incidently weeks ago I sent you a pm with link to screenshots of your site from my PC. Never been dloaded so I can only assume hiccup somewhere.

Cheers
