When the deadline for this month's official still image competition?

Deadline is always midnight PST on the last day of the month. This is why results don't show up right away on the 1st, as people can submit right up to the wire, then we need to gather the entries, judge them, then present the results on a web page, so you often don't see results until the 4th, 5th, 6th etc.
So for the August 2008 contest, you can submit up until midnight PST August 31st. August contest results then show up on the website in the first week of September.
Note that with the Virtual Earth category now in place, it may take slightly longer to turn out results this month, we'll have to see - more to view and judge, and more pages to create!

You can check PST using the Caligari Clock if required, found on our birds of a feather page:

That other clock is wrong, yes :) The birds of a feather page is our current live clock, all others will be incorrect (due to a change in web servers resulting in the old clock script becoming invalid). I'd just use the birds of a feather page for all your Caligari timing needs ;)
