Now I am not a real big user of workspace but now have a card that makes the most of it so I am going to explore.

Someone mentioned that CUDA was just developing for Nvidia and is built into my card along with PhysX. They said that if CAD supported it then it could be very powerful indeed...

I was curious if CUDA would be of benefit to tS users with Nvidia cards and if the PhysX stuff would also be integrated/utilised eventually.

A bit out of date with what Nvidia are up to but it all sounds very promising.

Anyone else more familiar with this technology and its potential for tS and realtime work?

there's loads of stuff out there on ATI support too. apparently the physx stuff will run as it is basically using shader technology and already have HavocFX support built in. However, AMD are saying that they are not making an effort to support the PhysX stuff because they are concerned that NVidia will use it as a way of comparing performance of the 2 cards. An unofficial NVidia project is currently in progress to produce drivers for Radeon cards however.

I don't think TrueSpace supports CUDA or PhysX, but you can place any processing that you want to happen on the GPU in an HLSL script brick in the LE... ;)
