Some of the comments the bots made while watching a movie were just hilarious.
Lot of the old series on youtube, glad they are preserved for future viewing. heh. |

Cool thread James. :D
The first program that jumped to my mind was Pogles' Wood which was screened by the BBC from 1966 to 1968 as part of the BBC's Watch with Mother series and also shown on TV here in New Zealand. There was a timeless magic about that show - which was all done with stop motion puppets - that had a powerful influence on my young mind.
In fact I loved all the Oliver Postgate stop motion shows like Noggin the Nog and so on but the Pogles was my clear favourite.
Here's an interesting link about this (http://www.pogleswood.org/) |

I vaguely remember there was a show called "Airwolf" that was on when I was a kid. Had a catchy 80's theme song too... :) |

Yes Jack. It was spawned by a movie called Blue Thunder I think. Also one of the best ever.... The A Team! |

I think Blue Thunder came first, but it also had it's own, short lived tv series. The Sci Fi Channel UK repeated it a few years ago.
I miss The Equalizer, used to love that as a kid. they've just release the first season on DVD though. |

Reboot was a great show. Responsible for me getting into tS. It's was the first cg TV show and one of the best to date IMO. I also heard Rainmaker is making a new movie based on the show.

I just watched MST3K the other day, found the one for This Island Earth being played on cable. Nice as two birds with one stone there for old things I used to like, both MST3K and This Island Earth! Looks like there might be a lot of MST3K I'm missing as this had a different "bad guy" in between the movie scenes, it used to be some lady, but now was some mad scientist like guy.
The most obscure thing I can think of that I really liked was a kid's sci fi series called Sky, which was only shown the once I don't think it was ever repeated. And few people had ever heard of it - an alien boy arrives on earth, from a different time I think it is rather than alien, and nature rebels against his presence and so plants and things start trying to attack him. All most weird!
Children of the Stones was another kid's sci fi I really liked. Tons more of course - Magic Roundabout, Captain Pugwash (as recently discussed in TNL!), oh I could go on for hours ;) Oh one more obscure one, that was not a kid's show this time - Brond. Only got to see that once too, it was great and would like to see it again. Same goes for Your Cheatin Heart, wouldn't mind watching that again too.

Hell, yes! Not to mention Streethawk, Knight Rider and the A-Team...
And then there was all those great kids programs like Terrahawks, Stingray, Captain Scarlett and all manner of daft cartoons....
An I remember Reboot too - there was an item on that (or the creators at least) back in an early issue of 3Dworld I've got about the place somewhere... |
