Since we have a lot of new users, wanted to go through how to submit to the gallery, our monthly contest.
First, you can find the information here, including the prizes for this month:
http://www.caligari.com/Gallery/Contest.asp
When ready to submit, you can login here (this page requires a separate login from our forums or tS7.6 registration, so be sure to sign up on this page if this is your first submission to the contest!)
http://gallery.caligari.com/gallery/login_form.asp
Once logged in you then see a list of any previous submissions (if any), and up top there is the "New Submission" option. Clicking on that will bring up the screen seen in the attached image - choose whether this is an Image, Animation or Virtual Earth entry, and fill in the requested details on tools, graphics card and description (please include the codec you used in the description field if this is an animation entry, otherwise we might not be able to playback your animation to judge it for the contest!).
You will upload your image, animation or VE URL in the next part of the submission process, so don't worry about that here. |

On the next page I see the information for my submissions, and now I can click Upload to put the actual Image, Animation or VE URL in place.
You can delete any current submissions (but not any previous ones). Current submissions also show as "previous" (which simply lists everything you have ever submitted, including current). |

When I click Upload, I get the final page for one submission. Here I can enter a VE URL, or upload an image or animation.
For VE, to get the URL to share, be sure to check the bitesize video:
http://cdn.caligari.com/Bitesize/VE_Sharing_Links.wmv
This shows you how to get the URL you need to share your 3D creation on VE with others (in other words, this is the URL you need to submit for the VE entries on this contest).
You can enter as many times as you like, different renders of the same object are permitted, showing the same object in an image, in a VE URL and in a rendered fly through animation is acceptable too. The more categories you enter, then the more chance you have of winning a prize!
We have had a lot of nice objects this month that would make great VE entries, with the castles in particular, but even the boats would be great. Of course there's nothing stopping you putting your F-18 hornet or dinosaur or any sort of model into VE! (Be sure to check whether or not you want people to be able to copy your object in VE if you want to keep it safe from being copied).
If you have any questions on the submission process, just ask!
Thanks!

question. I have an older image I'd like to submit, but it's rendered in 4.3... (no way to re-render I'm afraid.. some textures were not backed up and there was a system crash). I take it I can't enter it? |

TomG confirmed (in response to my question) that there is no restriction on which version of TS is used. |

You'd need to contact customer services about that one. service@caligari.com.
