I came across this neat little program called Darwinbots, the main page is here (http://www.darwinbots.com/WikiManual/index.php?title=Main_Page). What one does is make their own "bots" by "programming" DNA using conditional logic and a "stack" handled the inverse polish way. On the forums over there somewhere they were talking about making a hive-type of situation. i.e. there is a queen which designates the center, there are scouts who find food, there are harvesters who collect and distribute food, and then there are the warriors that serve as guardsmen.
I figured with the immense talent here with the scripting and linking it might actually be interesting for some of you.;)
I was also thinking that doing something like this in tS would be phenomenal and about as difficult to implement as most scripts (hopefully). If someone managed to make a 3D character controlled like this it would resemble Spore I would think.
Anyway this program has a form of evolution in it, hence the name.:D All this evolution really is is just the random altering of values, so if you "build" a wonderful bot it will eventually "break down" due to a phenomenon known as survival of the flattest (just google it or use wikipedia for a definition, because I'm lazy:p).
