Great spot to get modeling ideas for future ships.

Great pictures. Keep the war zepelin I saw there away from W!zard's air ships.

When I visit that site with Firefox everything is fine. When I tried with MS IE I was redirected to www.skype.com. If I put www in front of it then it locked up the browser window and task manager showed an extra MS IE application running. Later the redirect stopped but the site was very slow to load with MS IE and the Flash(?) part didn't load. Norton security didn't find any spyware etc.

Has anyone else has this happen?

I'm using Google Chrome and I had no problems, with IE my browser froze... That's very strange.

Nice wetware btw

Interesting site thanks for posting.

On a similar theme I recently picked up a book in a remainders bookshop called "50 Fantasy Vehicles to Draw & Paint" by Keith Thompson - which has an array of land, sea and air vehicles in futuristic, alternate past and organic-techno styles. There are lots of cheesy "How to .." type books out there and this is in that general category but its definitely one of the better ones. Published by Burlington Books if anyone is interested (and if you are in Adelaide try a Book Boys store - that's where I got mine.)

It has some interesting approaches to designing and styles, & even gives (unintentional) clues to building in 3D.

The book in the same series about robots is highly recomended, too. Often books like this are a bit dubious, but these are high quality as Burnart said.

IE didn't seem to like it for me either; shame, sounded interesting. I'm actually on the lookout for good sites with images of spacecraft, ideally movie related - production/design images, filmmakking photos, cgi, still frames from the movies, technical drawings/'blueprints' etc so any other links people have I'd be interested in seeing. Potential subjects including Star Wars, Star Trek Babylon5, Battlestar Galactica, Serenity/Firefly, anything really.

Found a pretty cool Star Trek one here:

Any other favourites?

I got a slew of bookmarks at home with blueprints, found them on one of Prodigy's threads, the one where he was making the Boss Mustang I think. I filtered through the pages and there were tons of good ones, I'll post them here in about 2hrs or so when I get home.

The site worked the same in Internet Explorer 8 (beta) as in Firefox for me.

Very nice site.

Thanks Robert - I'll check those links when I have some time; I vaguely remember Prodigy's Mustang thread but didn't get round to looking at the links he posted back then...

I'd like to build up a really good refernce collection of SF images, both ships and buildings, exteriors and interiors....
