Did they make it into 7.6 as the Captain's Blog indicated they might? I haven't heard mention of them since the release.

I know cloth made it, but I'm surprised of how few times I've heard it discussed.

Although the cloth does what it does well enough its not really usable in a serious way. The simulation functions but the capacity to integrate it fully with the modelling, animation and other program aspects is minimal. Not sure what the intention is as far as further development of it goes.

Soft body would ne nice - I know you could get a soft body effect using the old CK Clothmotion tsx in 6.6/modelside. Clothmotion seems to be one of those old plugs thats gone awol over recent years.

I have been wondering whether there would be any comments on cloth's development in the next captains blog. Its been over 2 months since we have heard from Roman.

My guess is that they are technically there. Just that they only work with the cloth. Cloth basically uses soft bodies to do it's simulation my guess is that they ran out of time before they could get it to work on things other than cloth and I hope (kinda expecting it to though) it makes it into the next version point or patch whatever the update. I would like them to integrate this with their hair system to because it would work just as well, then you get three new and useful features. (An example is blender uses soft bodies to do its hair and cloth simulations).

If it doesn't make it at least I hope they make the cloth key-framable.

I've been wondering if, now that tS is free, they will change their release schedule. Before they had a fairly consistent upgrade system where new versions were only released when the amount of new features justified a paid upgrade. Perhaps now they can put out a 7.7 or 7.65 without the worrying about irritating people who just upgraded.

Hmmm, actually it crashed tS when I tried it, both when I double clicked it and when I opened it from file.
