I have a question for you guys, if I have a really complex model and need to
hide other objects so I can work on the piece I want to is it possable to do
this on the "Model" side of Truespace? I need to cut up an object so I can
make a skin for but I have too many other things in the way and its hard to
grab what I need too.
Thanks for your help, and hey, if it can't be done on the model side of TS let
me know that too please~
Always~

You can make an object invisible, and unselectable, by using the Scene Editor.
Right click on the object in the Scene Editor and use the visibility toggle on the menu. |

Right click the object select arrow to open the object info box, go to advanced I think it is, and in there check "Invisible". While in there, set a key binding for it, so you can just click on that key on your keyboard to turn the currently selected object invisible.
Alternatively, use layers in the Model side, and use the hide layers functionality to easily make different parts of a scene visible or invisible.
On workspace side, you can make parts of a single object invisible, very handy when modeling a complex object (eg you want to model the inside of the mouth, you can hide the lips or cheeks to get in there and manipulate the "inside" vertices and faces) That's part of the Point Editing tools.
HTH!

Eagle, I think RSHide (http://ricscan.altervista.org/plugin/plugins.htm) will help you : a clic on that plugin hides/unhides everything except the object you are working on.
It is a must have when working in complex scenes. |

Thank you for this recommendation! Both the rsHide and the rsLayer object are a treasure! :)
Thank you sir.
Btw, is there anything like layers in Workspace? Haven't really tried that yet... |

No Layers in Workspace yet.
I'm hoping they make it soon because they are invaluable.
A simple invisibility toggle ala Model will be most welcome too.
<Edit: Oh wait...is that what RSHide does? haven't installed it yet>
I know Gord/Stan had something custom made for invisibility in Workspace but ironically, now I can't find it. |

With this Link Editor Navigator toolbar you can make Copies, Delete, Hide, and Show multiple selections.
