It is a bit quiet...I haven't had time to play much with TS. I guess when the patch/update comes out it will pick up briefly... |

Heythere Eagle and everyone. :)
Maybe we're all working on our Halloween scenes!
Probably the upcoming election, the global financial crisis, and other pressures are preventing folks from being motivated to be creative.
I've been working in a 'vault' for a long time to complete something. It's very time consuming but I'm almost done. |

I would dispute the boards being slow - as part of my job, I have to check these boards. I can say I've never been so busy checking them, having to visit four times a day, and usually having 10 to 20 posts each visit to go through. Over the weekends, I end up with 4 or 5 or 6 pages of posts to get through on Monday.
I've seen higher quality artwork in here than ever, in particular with things like the Matrix phone, the samurai sword, the Monthly Modeling Contest and Speed Modeling Contest, the WIP development of the late night train station, the development of the sewer system / tunnel, Frankentstein, Parve's shaders and real-time scenes, Emmanuel's video recorder, etc - all in the last week alone.
I've seen an increase in recent weeks in new questions from new users trying to get to grips with the software.
So I'm really not seeing any sort of dramatic downturn in how busy the forums are at all. If the boards were really quiet, this part of my job would be a lot less busy than it is :)
Every board has upswings and downswings in how busy it gets, but I am sure not seeing any dramatic downswing here. And rather than post and ask why the boards are less busy, why not just post some stuff and make them less busy? ;)
HTH!

Don't worry, i'm still here, and I still ask questions, and I post here.:) If there's anyone that should worry, it's me, because that's what I do. I'm a heavy worrier, but mostly I worry about others, and not myself, but I know that I need to worry about myself more because I worry too much. |

tamtam,
We're aloud to be pissed off...but only for a short time !
On a bigger note.... "Don't worry.....Be Happy !!!
(everybody has problems.... but they all work out over time: unfortunatly not as soon as we had wished... or most of the time, not the route we had wanted).
There is always a better life waiting for us.... If only we believe !!!

I don´t left but waiting for some bugfixes for VRay and TS 7.6.
In time i spend my time more fore modeling in Silo and hope to get a update for Vray4TS.
For me is the TS GUI the best of all 3d applicaation but the Caligari Team makes me crazy with the f.... Bridge and the updates developement for updates is a bit slowly there. |

I have notice that more people are indeed signing up to forums.
The recent diminshed activity might mean that people are becoming more satisfied with TrueSpace.
That is my hope. |

One possible reason is, that the world don´t see great stuff done in TS.
Okay we have Mouse with his frankenstein and the troll and his work is woth to show in cgtalk but did he post it there ?
We need more great modeler and than more advertising for the many features that comes in a complete free 3d application.
That´s my meaning. Ah and don´t forgret, truespace have to get more stability and the elimination of the bridge (damn feature) |

They might not be 'great' but I am not sure I can put many more renders on my website Vizu...well over 600 last time I looked...
Just one big advert for tS...;) |
