It is that time of the month again.

This issue is on the subject of detailing your images and frankly the cover is excellent being the image below. Incredible really; I love it!

Anyway. CD contents are a bit lame. Furniture models, Nuke 5.1 personal edition, mocap data and some textures as well as a Gnomon Vray training video.

Contents. Well, the detailing part is good (if only I had Mudbox!) there is a feature on Facial Capture and Mocap which as good as well as Independent movie Delgo.

Lightwave gets reviewed and gets a 7 overall. Fryrender gets 9. Groboto gets 8.

Again, nothing special this month and I (personally) would not have bought it from the newstand but subscribing works out about £3 an issue so cheaper than a coffee and a paper...:D

Next month: a complete guide to modelling and animating animals.

See ya.

I can never even find this magazine near my house anymore. I don't know if the bookstores arent getting it or the college students are grabbing them all up. Anyways, doesnt sound like much in it for me this month. I appreciate the reviews so I know when to look for it. Thanks Splinters.

My pleasure Dennis. I do this really to save anyone ordering it (at much higher cost than I pay) and being disappointed but at the same time I like to give you fair warning of the truly excellent issues. Unfortunately they are getting rarer...:o Cracking cover image though.

Still the only decent 3D mag here in the UK...:D

The RSS feed made a big deal out of 'VRay tutorial' and you download the files and lo and behold, in the missing print there was for 3ds max. Like it's the only software that has VRay....oh well

Nice render.
