Rendering with VRay on Workspace, why doesn't my render match what I have in the 3D view?

The render is clipped on the top and bottom, and on the left and right.

I've tried it both with a camera and without.

How do I eliminate the guessing game and get it to render exactly what I have in the 3D view window?

The easiest way to get exactly what you see in the workspace... in the View section of the vRay panel, select "View" and render your scene.

The resulting render will show up as cropped in the render window, but it's all there. Just click on "Save to File" and you've got it. :)

When you render the separate viewing window is usually a different size.

What you have to do open the window settings by clicking the white box in the top left corner of the viewing window and clicking window settings. Once you do you will get a box, seen below, where you can adjust width and height. Don't forget to click out of the box before clicking apply or it won't take the value as it still thinks it's being edited.

If you check/uncheck the work area dimensions box I'm not exactly sure what it does, but I think it will constrain the proportions to the work area so probably have that unchecked.

I liked how in 7.51 it would automatically adjust the viewing window to be the resolution of the image size you were rendering to. Oh well.

You can just drag the vray window to the right size, too.
