When listening to the sounds of surroundings I feel like resting on a small boat on a summer day and only hearing the singing of multiple of birds. Do you hear anything else - can you hear the sound of the future? |

Well as my surroundings are currently central London, can't really hear any birds (or feel like I'm in a boat for that matter).
Background noise is a mixture of conversations, typing, people walking about, traffic, helicopters, commercial aircraft, sirens, building works, etc....
At least the sun is out unlike yesterday's awful rain, so I might just be able to fool myself (briefly) that it's summer, but not for long...
And no, I don't think I can hear the future...:o
Maybe I need to go find something a bit more interesting to eat/drink?/imbue?! |

air-con roaring (on heat) and the rattling of keyboards. an open-plan office with 25 software developers isn't ideal...wishing I was on the beach in portugal. |

ahhh...no birds for me. Just the wind moving through the pines, and the light ta-thunk-taunk of the bamboo chimes outside. Crisp, clean mountain air as I stare out at the snow covered and light ice-fog covered mountains and forest across the street.
Whitehorse is a great place to live.

Talking of birds,
as some of you know i am working away, and currently residing in a rather small touring caravan. Last Saturday it was relatively mild so i nipped next door, leaving my door open. when I returned only 3 minutes later, a robin had hopped into my caravan and was making itself at home on the back of a cushioned bench seat ( the one I use as a bed) .
How sweet I thought. I'll just take a quiet pic with my mobile phone and send it to my 6 year old daughter.
As the flash (oops) went off on the phone camera, the Robin went into panic mode, deposited a LARGE reaction right on my "bed" flew around whilst depositing a further 6 memories, and flew out of the door.
I would never have believed that a single Robin could contain some much waste. It must have been completely hollow! Do Robins eat curry or something?
I will never look at a christmas card depicting a Robin in the same light again.
As for the wind rustling in the trees, I suspect all anyone could hear was me saying some rather bad words lol

I hear just the steady patter of rain outside, falling on the trees as the wildlife takes refuge, waiting for it to pass, as I wait for the time to pass, to go home. |

It's about an hour before clock-out time, so I'm feeling the anticipation of starting a fun weekend with the family, while the songs of Switchfoot play on the computer, nearly drowning out the hum of an oscillating fan nearby.

When I am alone with nothing but my thoughts, I hear ringing in my ears, 30 years of construction has the ability to create that for you...
My surroundings right now are all the pc's I have used over the last 6 years or so... all in pieces, disassembled and parts all over the floor...
Ahhh... the journey.
