I just love using MotionBuilder with Truespace (as well as Poser for mocap work). So easy with MotionBuilder to blend complex character animations, constraining them to terrains and objects, interacting them with other characters (kind of like endorphin software!) etc etc. Then exporting the bvh animations and using them on the Truespace characters. New MotionBuilder 2009 has LIVE interactive physics (been waiting so long for this!) now (as well as live interactive fire and particles). So easy to do the most extremely complex actions. Here is download for free 30 day NO RESTRICTION trial. They might come out with a free learning edition for non commercial use of motionbuilder 2009 see older version learning edition link below.

here is a free older learning edition version 7 of motionbuilder with no restrictions except can not use commercial... (does most that you need, just does not offer physics)

anyway, for me MotionBuilder and Truespace are a perfect combo.
