New WHQL drivers were out earlier this week (180.48) and they work great with tS7.6 on a 9800GT. Today I found some new beta drivers that now have a performance driver installed. These are 180.70 and the driver is meant for autocad and 3DS max. Now we (tS) may not be able to access those features (apparently you load them up from inside Max or autocad to boost 3D performance) but it shows that they are starting to adapt Quadro drivers so that machines can have the best of graphics for games and workstation functions. Great if, like me, you use your machine for games and CAD...:D

Hope this helps someone. I have them in now and they seem fine. Apparently IQ is better as well as FPS in many games.

I got them from guru3d.com but they are freely available...:D

Yes some great drivers indeed! Just note that the 180.70 doesn't have PhysX which may affect the very few games that use hardware physics if available.

I notice that these drivers now support dual displays in SLI mode. What would be the advantage of setting up SLI with dual displays as opposed to having each display on it's own dedicated card? I have 2 nVidia 8800GTS 640MB cards with a 22" LCD and a 19" CRT. Each monitor is attached to a separate card. Would I really see much of an advantage if I set up SLI again now that the drivers spport dual display in SLI.

I don't do much gameing anymore, mostly work with TS (trying to wrap my tiny brain around it), Poser, Hexagon and Carrara.
